Spring/Summer 2025

1-2. love when Hailee joins me on a climbing date, and then cooks me bread!
3-5. I helped guide a youth group through some little canyons, and Geoff and I guided a big group down in southern Utah on a two day canyon trip!
6. Family dinners
7-10. Surprise trio with the fam! Lots of hanging out, games, hikes and bike rides.
11-12. Pretending we are The Outdoor Boys
13. Kyle, Kade and I did some fishing up north
14. Ran the Pioneer Days 5k
15-16. Lots of landscaping and blue collar work! It’s fun learning and very satisfying when you finish a good project
17. We celebrated our anniversary by going up to Oakley, Utah and staying at my uncle‘s cabin. It was a great weekend, and I love Haelee so much!
18. Went to Atlanta to celebrate the Nogueira’s getting married
19-20. Kade and I ran the ICCH together, and did a couple canyons around goblin Valley. I’m sad. This was the last year of the ICCH, but I’m excited for what’s to come!

Social media is deceptive.

As I was making this post, adding happy moments captured over these last couple months, I just kept thinking about how these photos are not the full picture of my life and how it’s so easy to compare on social media.

True I’ve been blessed beyond belief with the people, privilege, and experiences in my life. I love my life and am generally a pretty positive person. But I’ve also struggled with insecurities, failures, mistakes, and pain. These past couple months haven’t been the easiest, but I’ve learned so much from them.

I love the line in this song, “From foolish to wise, we all bruise the same” I’m realizing it’s ok to stumble through life a little bit, to be uncertain about the future, make mistakes, fail. We are all living this life for the first time and require constant grace. I think we could use a little more authenticity in the world, and I’m trying to learn what that looks like for me personally. I’m discovering the power God has to heal, strengthen, and ultimately reach our potential. I more fully understand what having divine worth means- that I don’t need to look/act/think a certain way to be loved.

I guess what I’m trying to say with all this is that if you’re struggling right now, just know you’re not alone. It’s too easy to look at someone else’s life these days and feel inadequate, like time is running out, like you’ll never measure up. But the truth is everyone’s journey is so unique. It can + should look different from others. I believe you matter and you are perfectly loved. Also I’m always here to talk no matter how close we are:)

The Book of Mormon has changed my life and helped me to learn more about Jesus Christ.

My favorite title of Jesus Christ from the Book of Mormon is Healer. He has healed me from so much and continues to heal those who draw closer to him.
