From the storm to safety 🐾

These seven puppies have already survived more than most dogs will experience in a lifetime.

They had been living outside in Clovis, New Mexico, which was experiencing record-breaking floods last week, and needed help immediately to avoid another night in the floods. Our incredible volunteers didn’t hesitate. They got in their cars and drove through the night to bring these babies to safety.

At 2 a.m., they finally arrived in Denver. Safe. Warm. Loved. And having survived floods, a tornado, and a life outdoors exposed to the elements.

Despite everything they’ve been through, all seven puppies are healthy, happy, playful, and so grateful for their second chance. Their past may have started with uncertainty, but their futures are just beginning.

Now, there’s only one thing left for each of them to find: a family of their own.

All seven puppies are officially available for adoption on our website through A Friend of Jack Rescue.

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for the inaugural Matt Molloy Invitational in honor of our dear friend, Matt. 🤍

We were so honored that A Friend of Jack could be a part of a day celebrating Matt’s life and the kindness, generosity, and joy he brought to so many people. As a dog dad and someone who cared deeply about the people and animals around him, it felt especially meaningful to have adoptable dogs there alongside the friends, family, and community who came together in his honor.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful tribute to Matt and for supporting the causes that reflect the compassion and pure joy he embodied. 🤍

We spend every waking hour trying to find solutions. We make calls late into the night, coordinate transport, juggle logistics, and have difficult conversations because all we want is to bring every dog home.

We know our emails are long. We know it feels like we’re constantly asking for help. Trust us, we wish we didn’t have to. But we cannot save dogs without people willing to step up and open their homes.

Every dog in this video has a story. They are scared, confused, and waiting for someone to choose them. And more often than not, the difference between a dog making it out alive or not is whether a foster says yes.

Forever a Friend of Jack ❤️

If there were ever a dog living his best life, it’s Zeke.

After being rejected by his mom and surviving a difficult start in Kansas, Zeke found his way to rescue and got the second chance he deserved.

Now? Zeke spends his days running free on a horse and cattle farm, soaking up every bit of the good life. He swims in the pool every single day, explores the property, and enjoys all the adventures that come with farm life. Whether he’s splashing in the water, roaming the property, or hanging out with his Doberman brother and Catahoula mix sister, Zeke is exactly where he’s meant to be.

Zeke is friendly, happy, and full of life. The difficult start that could have defined him is now just a small part of his story.

This is the life every rescue dog deserves. A family who loves them, friends to share adventures with, room to run, and endless opportunities to just be a dog.

Zeke is truly living his best life.

And that is our favorite kind of update.

Zeke, it’s been a year this May since our blue eyes first met. You know when you know. And as @gregvoell84 said when I told him I’d fallen hard for this pit bull mix who’d already had a rough & tumble young life… what’s one more?! Best friend to Boss @dober.boss and Stormi (our precious UVA rescue). Forever grateful to @afriendofjack & @haileyvoell for all the canine souls, like our Zeke, you’ve saved & continue to save🩵
