2027/2028 💍 couples, I WANT TO PHOTOGRAPH YOUR WEDDING!

I have NEVER been more in my bridal era of life, as I am also currently planning my wedding! After photographing weddings for 7+ years, I am finally in your shoes. It’s been such a fun experience planning my wedding simultaneously alongside my clients!

I’ve gotten to experience so many of these moments for myself already, from getting engaged to taking our engagement photos, and I’ve loved having someone else capture these parts of our story for us. Huge shoutout to @thewildphern for all of the photos on slide 6! ☺️

Planning our wedding has given me a totally new perspective on the cost of things, the mindset behind decisions, and all of the intentional little details that get sprinkled throughout the day. It truly is the best day to be a part of.

Our wedding is July 2027! When is yours? 💍

My top 20 personal favorites from the first half of this iconic engagement session, and you can believe there will be a part 2 for the outdoor portion. 🥹💓

And I need to know which one YOUR favorite is!!!

Just to add in a bit of realness, it was less than 5 years ago that I felt incredibly intimidated of off-camera flash. Artificial lighting in general made me uncomfortable because I didn’t understand it. I pushed myself through the muddyness of learning and kept trying (and failing). While I am always learning and evolving my craft, I finally feel like I have a good grasp on what setup works for me and my style.

Come to find out, I do LOVE artificial lighting. For a few reasons. One, it gives me more control over my art. Two, I can shoot ANYWHERE (that allows). Three, editing with lighting setup is much more efficient in my own flow.

In this fun and creative engagement session, I played with a yellow-orange filter to add some pizazz. I got to play with a blue light filter a couple years ago and I’m now wondering if I need all the colors????

Long story longer, I’m amazed at how much there is to continue learning within photography. I’ve been in practice for FOURTEEN YEARS and I’m still finding myself intrigued with new techniques, skills, and ways to improve.
