back 222 brunette and back 222 reality 🥂 it’s been a really rough summer for me, growth isn’t always linear. mental illness isn’t always visible. sometimes we fall back into toxic tendencies when we’re faced with change/lack of control. I’ve learned this year, that I can’t control what people think of me, I can’t change the way I’ve hurt them in the past, and I can’t control the narrative they want to spin. Sometimes people leave and we’ll never get closure or an apology. Sometimes we have to get that closure ourselves. BUT what I can do is have control of myself, my thoughts, my own emotions, my health, my finances, and focus on what truly matters.

Those who matter dont mind, and those who mind don’t matter. I’m thankful for the friendships and love I’ve gained, and for those I’ve lost during this period of my life. There’s no going back from that pain, and I’m ready to love myself and know my worth again 🦋

Truly obsessed with this spray tan, this wedding, this duo and the energy of this last photo 🪩🌹

I been thru a lot the past couple years, so I made it a goal to completely reinvent myself sometime around March. I’m sure you’ve noticed the subtle changes over time— new piercings, tattoos, lashes, nails, hair obviously, but there were other lifestyle and mindset changes that were probably less noticeable unless you really know me.

I started showing up for MYSELF instead of others. I stopped caring about being liked, and I made sure to make decisions for MY best interest. I spent so long being a people pleaser, so long hating myself because I couldn’t be like this person or the next. But the truth? I’m humble enough to know there will always be someone better than me, but another person LIKE ME? NEVER. Who I am can never be duplicated, I’ve got a dope soul and I needed my vessel to match! ✨

Younger me would be so proud of who I am today. Legit the tattoo-covered, pierced-up, not givin a single fuck, goddess she always aspired to be 🫶🏽 This new year is all about continuing this growth with myself and my career, so stay along for the ride🎢🧚🏽‍♀️
