#lostfiles Feb. 24th, 2020.

Just a couple of weeks before the 🌍 stopped due to the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the @pcl_basketball championship was in full swing in the University City section of Philadelphia on the campus of @uofpenn, inside the legendary arena, the Palestra, which is the fourth oldest gym in college 🏀, as it opened in 1927.

On this Monday night, two of the City of Brotherly Love’s finest teams in @romanbball & @ngsaintshoops met up for the trophy.

Several of the PCL’s finest players at the time went on to play on the Division I scene & two of them would go on to play in the @nba, including @jalenduren, who was selected with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 @nba Draft by the @detroitpistons and is entering his fourth season in the League.

This game was a classic matchup as both teams fought tooth & nail.

But in the end, the boys from South Philly held it down against the boys from Broad Street, as the Saints beat the Cahillites, 66-58.

It was just another great night in the Palestra, high school style.
