💁🏻‍♂️Watch out guys, there’s a severe weather warning coming, and it’s called the SHAWAR-NADO🌪️ We got Chicken Shawarma Plate Meal and Mix Shawarma Plate Meal. These Meal Plates came SUPER loaded, the boxes literally couldn’t close, as it had a TON of food in it, it had Shawarma Meat on a bed of either Rice, Fries or Half & Half, a side Salad and Garlic Potato👏🏻 We got Chicken Shawarma Plate with Rice, Greek Salad, while Mix Shawarma (Beef & Chicken) with Half & Half, Fattoush, for Sauces, we chose Garlic, and Mild Hot Sauce with Hummus on the side😋 We absolutely enjoyed these Meals, juicy, tender, flavourful Meats, medley of Sauces, Fried Onions, refreshing Salads, addicting Garlic Potato cubes, GOSH, you really can’t go wrong with these🔥 Oh, and if you can’t decide between Rice and Fries, Half & Half is def the way to go🙌🏻

Chicken or Mix Shawarma?

🍗Chicken Shawarma Plate Meal $15.99
🥩Mix Shawarma Plate Meal $16.99

Tried this new halal Mexican place out in Sauga! Here are my thoughts:

1) Carne Asada tacos ($22 for 3):
Juicy and fresh beef but needed more flavour!

2) Chicken Tinga Tacos ($18 for 3):
I like the chipotle flavoured chicken. The flavour was nice!

3) Chicken Tinga Enchiladas ($18.50):
Honestly, I liked the enchilada sauce paired with the chipotle flavour of the chicken tinga tacos. It was served with standard Mexican rice and beans.

4) Cheese quesadillas ($8.50):
Was just cheese in corn tortillas. I’ve had better quesadillas tbh!

Overall, while the flavours were authentic, I feel like this place was expensive for the serving sizes and a casual takeout joint. They should also expand the variety of salsas to give their food more flavour. I was missing the spice element in Mexican food which is really important to me! I think that’s why I would take away points while rating them.

I’d give this place a 6.5/10!

I do want to go back and try their tostadas though!!

5 STARS REVIEW

"Loved this place just excellent food and very nice service. I tried a platter for 3 with friends that included 2 kinds of sausages, lamb and chicken plus bean salad and pap (white cornmeal/grits) with a side of tomato chutney. Go There. Eat There. Love It There!!!" — Dan G., Google Reviews

When we'd stopped by Kennedy Commons in Scarbs recently for a quick browse @chapters and a mid-afternoon coffee @starbuckscanada, we didn't expect to come across this gem @naan.kabob for one of the most amazing #halalfood dining spots...

Not only was the service incredible (we were warmly greeted literally the moment we stepped inside), saying the portions of the food were generous would be an understatement. We ordered 2 entrées and 2 drinks and brought half of that home!

Don't even get me started on the beautiful interior of the restaurant..I was too hungry and didn't get a chance to take as many photos as I'd like, but will certainly remember to do so the next time I'm back...

Authentic halal Mexican food! 🇲🇽 They have a separate grill for halal meat. However, the food could use more flavour with spicier salsas & the pricing should be more affordable. Full review up soon! 😊
