A big thank you to everyone who came along to our pop-up in Aotearoa. We felt so much love and support from our homeland! A special thanks to Kate and the team at Penny Sage, @halcyon_wines and @karmadrinks for providing the venue, refreshments and support during our time there. And to my support crew back in the office, and the BF for carrying the bags and painting the window… xx We’ve left some of our stock at @pennysage for the next week while we explore Aotearoa, so if you missed us, don’t worry! You can still pop in and have a look!

Our next guest for the Season of Sensuality is a name some of you may be familiar with: fine jeweller, @alexandra.dodds ❤️⁠ ⁠ An NZ jeweller based in Sydney, Alexandra Dodds has a fascination with shapes and textures of the natural world, which forms the base of her work with fine metals and precious gems.⁠ ⁠ We’re welcoming Alexandra Dodds to the Underlena Showroom for one morning only, this Saturday 24 October with a selection of her exquisite jewellery available for purchase. An end of year treat, perhaps for yourself or another?⁠ ⁠ We’ll have some beautiful breakfast bites from @sisterwellington and a special Pétillant Naturel from Halcyon Wine too, from 10:30am. ⁠ ⁠ We look forward to seeing you Saturday 💋⁠

That’s a wrap on Negroni Week Napier 2026 🍸 A huge thank you to everyone who headed out and tasted their way through this year’s incredible line-up of classics and creative riffs. A very special thank you to our judges Amy Hopkinson-Styles and Gordon Russell, who generously brought their time, knowledge and expertise to the judging table for the second year running. From visiting the venues and tasting the drinks to sharing the thoughtful tasting notes and photos you’ve seen across our feed, we’re incredibly grateful to have them involved. And of course, Negroni Week simply wouldn’t happen without the 19 participating venues who got behind it, experimented, created and gave us more than 40 reasons to raise a glass this year. Thank you to every team involved, and to everyone who helped bring the week together behind the scenes. Congratulations again to our 2026 Trophy winners - @casa_ahuriri for Best Classic and @kkitchenandbar for Best Riff with their smoky Highland Rose Negroni - along with all of this year’s standout contenders and special mentions. New on the wine list at Rosella🍷 Heliacal Rise by Halcyon Days, now pouring by the glass. An orange/rosé blend made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir off one organic vineyard in Mangatahi, Hawke’s Bay. The Chardonnay is skin fermented like a red, the Pinot is pressed off straight away like a white. Juicy, textured, a bit of both worlds. Come in and try a glass! Spring is here! And with it the season for that beautiful apéritif, the Negroni! Negroni Week is back in Napier! September 21-27. Once again, we have Napier's finest venues vying for the city's most coveted trophies. Nineteen venues will be serving up a classic negroni or a modern riff, or both. Our Local experts Gordon Russell and Amy Hopkinson-Styles - both highly regarded in the wine industry will visit all venues, delivering you a well authored critique of the negroni and a peak at the secret recipes. We will start to share these to you daily.
