🌊 Absolutely LOVE getting new stock in, and this week’s excitement comes courtesy of 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐌ô𝐧 - the clever family who harvest their beautiful sea salt from the waters of the Menai Strait in Anglesey💙

And have we got some goodies for you!

🧂𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐒
From pure white sea salt to seasoned salts and peppercorns, we’ve got a cracking range. And we love the Pinch Me reusable tins — perfect for your handbag, lunchbox, picnic or campervan ready for that emergency seasoning situation!
🍅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐔𝐂𝐄𝐒 We have them all….. Smokey BBQ, Black Garlic Ketchup, Rhubarb & Beetroot, Bloody Mary Ketchup and Gherkin Relish.
🌭 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 Smokey Dijon and Smokey Honey. Two delicious ways to add a little kick to your favourite dishes.
✨ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 Popeth and PAWB — fabulous names, fabulous flavour, and a very good excuse to get creative in the kitchen!
🍬 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐒. Ohhh, the salted caramel! 😍 And the vanilla fudge with sea salt… let's just say these may not make it home if you're shopping on an empty stomach.
🏺 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐆𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐒 Their beautiful ceramic jars are back, filled with chilli & garlic, roasted garlic or — our personal favourite — sea salt smoked over Christmas trees. Did I say CHRISTMAS TREES!😮 - we start selling 🌲5 weeks on Saturday!!!!
We also have the larger Watercolour ceramic jars AND the limited-edition ‘Seahorse and Shells’ design, created in honour of Susan Williams-Ellis, the celebrated artist behind Portmeirion Pottery. 💙
Open Thursday - Sunday so, if you fancy a little taste of North Wales, a foodie treat, or a gift that’s a bit more special, pop in and have a look😊

🌍 Mae dyfodol ein bwyd yn dibynnu ar ddyfodol ein planed.

Rydyn ni ym Size of Wales I Maint Cymru yn falch o fod ymhlith dros 180 o sefydliadau ac arbenigwyr sydd wedi llofnodi llythyr agored, wedi’i gydlynu gan Foodrise, yn galw ar Lywodraeth y DU i roi diogelwch bwyd wrth galon ei blaenoriaethau.

Mae newid hinsawdd, colli bioamrywiaeth a datgoedwigo yn bygwth y systemau sy’n cynhyrchu’r bwyd rydyn ni’n dibynnu arno bob dydd.

Yng Nghymru, mae ein dewisiadau bwyd yn cael effaith ymhell y tu hwnt i’n ffiniau. Dyna pam rydyn ni’n gweithio gydag ysgolion, cymunedau a sefydliadau i hyrwyddo bwyd cynaliadwy nad yw’n cyfrannu at ddatgoedwigo.

🌱 Mae diogelu coedwigoedd trofannol a sicrhau system fwyd gynaliadwy a chydnerth yn mynd law yn llaw.

🌍 The future of our food depends on the future of our planet.

@size_of_wales is proud to stand alongside more than 180 organisations and experts who have signed an open letter, coordinated by @wearefoodrise , calling on the UK Government to make food security a national priority.

Climate change, biodiversity loss and #deforestation are threatening the systems that produce the food we rely on every day.

Here in Wales, our food choices have consequences far beyond our borders. That’s why we’re working with schools, communities and organisations to promote sustainable, deforestation free food.

🌱 Protecting tropical forests and building a sustainable, resilient food system go hand in hand.

What an inspiring trip last week to @halenmon on Anglesey.
A huge thank you to the wonderful co-founder Alison Lea-Wilson and her beautiful daughter Jess for hosting us.
I remember when this amazing pure product first came to market many years ago, and now it is a well deserved world class ingredient.
Even Barack Obama has sampled it in his favourite chocolate caramels topped with flakes of Smoked Helen Mon Sea Salt!
I just love the stunning book pictured here “The Coastal Armagnac’” that Jess has so brilliantly written, it encapsulates the coastal environment of Wales so beautifully.
I have always loved this sea salt, and had such fun shovelling some of it in the production unit.
The salt tasting reminded me of just how tall it stands alongside other salts, just a little in recipes , both savoury and sweet make the other ingredients sing.
A little relaxation literally turned into a barrel of laughs as we bathed in barrels of warm water and mineral rich seaweed, looking out at the sea and amazing mountains. I had seaweed on my hair, apparently it’s good for it!
I was tagging along with the crew from @castledairies who have collaborated with Helen Mon to create the best butter you can spread on a hot crumpet! And a whole lot more, it is simply delicious 😋
4.5 hours there and back, wow it was worth it, and we loved our car boot picnic featuring some delicious cheeses brought @andcaws_cheesemonger, Menai Bridge.
80’s carpool karaoke also helped.
Big thanks to my lovely sis in law behind the wheel, and my brother for the invite 💕 it was a blast!!
