Before I ever got to learn beside her, she was one of the reasons I believed this dream was worth chasing. 🤍 I met Kayla Hale @halethebeautyqueen at the Monarch Master Injectors Summit in Las Vegas this past July. Her beauty and confidence caught my attention, but her knowledge and the way she taught made me want to keep learning. I left her session thinking, “I want to learn from her.” She became one of the reasons I decided to truly pursue aesthetics. As a brand-new, fresh-out-of-the-box injector, finding opportunities hasn’t always been easy. I’ve reached out to people hoping to learn, and sometimes those doors stayed closed. But those who know me know that when I say I’m going to do something, I put my whole heart into it. I took on three jobs to afford training and travel because this dream matters that much to me. Originally, I planned to train in Texas. Then Kayla announced she would be involved with a Monarch training location, and my plans changed. If Michael Jordan were holding a basketball clinic, you’d find a way to get there, right? That’s how I felt about learning from her. 🥹 So I came to Oklahoma City with an open mind, a grateful heart, and a little aloha from home: Hawaiʻi snacks for the people helping me along this journey - the awesome new friends I’ve made and the incredible trainers who shared their knowledge, including Kayla. On Saturday, Kayla led our neurotoxin training. On Sunday, we learned and practiced microneedling and dermaplaning at her beautiful medspa, @halestormokc Then she messaged me at the ending of my day asking when I was leaving. I remember thinking, “Wait… why is she asking?” And then she asked if I wanted to shadow her. GUYS. My jaw dropped. Then came the tears. 😭 Someone I had admired from the audience was inviting me into her practice to learn beside her. I felt seen. She may have seen an opportunity to share her day and her knowledge. I saw every extra shift, every dollar saved, and every unanswered request to learn—and suddenly, here was someone opening a door. (Continued in comments…🤍👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼)

The best weekends are spent doing what we love! ✨Another incredible weekend of training but this time, we were at HaleStorm in partnership with Monarch! 🤍 @monarchaesthetictraining We had the pleasure of welcoming providers who traveled to Oklahoma City to learn, grow, and elevate their skills. Kayla and Jenn spent the weekend sharing their expertise, teaching various techniques, and providing hands-on education. As much as we love treating our patients, there’s something so rewarding about stepping back, sharing our knowledge, and encouraging fellow providers to grow in their craft. Education, collaboration, and empowering others will always be at the heart of what we do at HaleStorm.
