Today, I left a version of myself in the water and came up changed. Not perfect. Not suddenly without pain. But forgiven. Chosen. Loved in a way words could never fully explain. There were moments I thought I was too far gone, too broken, too lost to be worthy of grace. But God met me anyway. Patiently, gently, and completely. Baptism is more than a moment. It’s a surrender. A promise that my past no longer defines me. I went under carrying years of hurt, fear, and worry. I came up knowing I never have to walk alone again. I am so grateful for the support system I have and thankful for the impact they have made on my walk with Christ.
