Once a tiger, always a tiger.

Thank you @mptigersvolleyball for the best years and memories of my life. Coach Sanders, thank you for the past 5 years and for always holding me accountable and helping shape me into the player I am today. Whenever i look back at the beginning of my volleyball career I’ll never forget the coach that made me fall in love with such an incredible sport. Coach Danny, thank you for everything you’ve done for all of us. I’ll always remember being frustrated my freshman year because my serves wouldn’t go over the net, but you never hesitated to take your time and help me become a better player. I love yall and thank you for everything yall do for this program.

Ill also forever be grateful for UNC team camp and trauma bonding over how bad all of our feet hurt and trying to get the bus in the pouring rain on the last day.

Thank you MP for the best chapter of my life. Now onto whatever God has planned for me. 💙💛

i don’t think words will ever be able to explain what volleyball means to me or how hard it is to accept that my last season has come to an end. volleyball gave me the best memories, friendships, hardest lessons, and most important people in my life. through school, club, camps, wins, losses, tears, and frustration, it shaped me into someone i never knew i could become. it taught me discipline, confidence, and how to keep going. it taught me that one mistake doesn’t define me, and sometimes i have to give myself the same grace i give others, let go, and move on to the next point.

to Coach Sanders, thank you for pushing me, challenging me, and never letting me settle for less than what you knew i could give. to Coach Danny, thank you for your patience, kindness, and for reminding me that mistakes are just a goldfish memory. thank you for continuing to count on me and reminding me that one bad moment doesn’t define me. to my club coach, Aaliyah, thank you for believing in me when i couldn’t believe in myself, giving me chances to grow, and never giving up on the player i could become. to my parents and brother, thank you for showing up, driving hours for club games, supporting me even when i sat the bench, and being there through every tear and laugh. to my teammates, thank you for the memories, encouragement, and for becoming the sisters i never had.

looking back, i wasn’t just playing a sport. i was growing up, finding confidence, learning to handle disappointment, and becoming stronger. volleyball was my escape, my comfort, my challenge, and a place where i found people who changed my life. the thought of no more practices, games, or moments with these people hurts more than words can explain. a part of me wishes i could play forever, because how do you say goodbye to something that has become such a big part of who you are?

six years later, i’m thankful for every opportunity, person, lesson, high, and low. i wouldn’t be who i am today without this journey, and i’d choose volleyball every single time. thank you, @mptigersvolleyball , for some of the best years of my life and memories i’ll hold onto forever. 💙

It’s so hard to say goodbye to something that has been such a big part of my life for so long. I’m beyond thankful for every moment, every lesson, and every girl who made this sport feel like home. Volleyball has shaped me in ways I’ll always be grateful for, and I’ll forever cherish the people it brought into my life, the person it helped me become, and the memories I’ll carry with me forever. Closing this chapter with a full heart and nothing but love for the sport that gave me so much. 🐅💙
