Bigggggg week for Rachel’s heart😮‍💨😮‍💨

This Friday, I will be having a procedure called a TEE EC, where doctors will be able to get a full and in depth look into my heart to FINALLY (hopefully) find the root cause of why my heart is going through a party girl phase right now🎉🎉 in addition to this, I will have a loop recorder inserted into my chest that will monitor my hearts activity for the next few years!
So why share about this on this page you may ask? I bring this up here to say that in this journey, I have been so confused and anxious on why this is happening at such a young age, and why this is happening to me now, right out of college and so far away from home. One night, I was scrolling on TikTok to see if I could find information on other people’s experiences who may also be dealing with similar things (I have simply gotten too frightened by Google searching lolz). I did not think I would have much luck, but to my surprise, a huge amount of people my age have also dealt with this or something similar, and they are in the exact same boat as I am. It brought me such ease knowing that people have not only been through my situation, but are able to share their stories and advice through social media, and the part that REALLY brought me peace of mind: everything turned out okay for them🩷
This is why social media has such a huge place in my heart, as it can truly be such a positive place for people who may be struggling with things that they cannot fully talk to their peers and family about. Social media can so often be viewed as something so negative but people can forget how amazingly positive it can be at the same time!
If you ever feel like people will not care about what you post about on social media, I promise you, someone out there does care, and they want to hear you out 🩷✨ (I know I do!!)
