I’ve spent a lot of time chasing summits lately.

Early alarms. Long drives. 14,000-foot peaks. Always asking, “What’s next?”

This week reminded me that the best adventures aren’t always the biggest ones.

I flew to Boston a day early to visit someone I met halfway across the world in Switzerland. We spent the Monday four-wheeling, golfing, grilling steaks, and doing something I’m surprisingly bad at… sitting by the pool and relaxing.

Then work brought me into the city, but the moments I’ll remember most happened outside the conference room. Climbing at the gym, biking through Boston, trying new coffee shops, playing tennis, and catching up over a few beers with friends from college.

The last club I joined before graduating college completely changed my life. It introduced me to people who started as strangers and became lifelong friends. No matter where I travel, it seems like there’s always someone to reconnect with, or someone new to meet, because we share the same hobbies and curiosity for life.

I’ve realized that mountains, cities, and bucket-list adventures are incredible… but they mean so much more when they’re shared with good people.

The 14ers will always be there.

The moments with friends won’t.

Grateful for old friendships, new friendships, and all the places they’ve taken me.

Here’s to seeing a lot more of both.

P.S. Christina, if you’re seeing this you better get out to CO to visit! Kara you too! And obviously all my boarderline family :)
