🐈This is Alfalfa. I call him Alfie for short. We met in 2021. Alfie was found at a kid's bus stop, no more than 10 weeks old- probably 8-9.
🏠 The family that found him already had too many pets. They asked me to take him in.I had many cats growing up. I didn't want another cat.
🪽 That month I lost an entire fish tank. Heater malfunction. Not to mention, losing Dad & Darla in 2020 and 2021.

🍼 I thought, "It's short term - someone will want him." I named him Baby Cat so I didn't get attached. Then, I realized...Everyone had adopted during COVID. No one was looking for cute kitten anymore.
😺 Baby Cat followed me everywhere, even the bathroom. He was talkative, loud, and slept on top of my shoulder.
🤔But, he seemed to be aware of my losses. He really loved Darla's baby (orange pillow) and *I swear* Darla would act through him at times.
🩷They say cats find you. Or, perhaps Darla sent him. So, I abandoned finding him a home and called him Alfalfa.

⚕️The rest is history. until now. Things have been really chaotic in the world and in my own life.
I was suddenly fired just when I brought my Mom down to visit for Mother's Day. Then, Mom collapsed and had to be rushed to the hospital.
🚨I was up North cleaning my Mom's house out to get it ready for sale when my cat sitter called me."Alfie is crying and won't come out from under the bed." I knew that something was very wrong. She rushed him to the emergency vet.
🚑Alfie suffered a stress induced urinary obstruction. He needed a very expensive operation, a PU Surgery, to make sure he didn't block up again. If I didn't do the surgery, it was suggested I euthanize him.
💔Alfalfa loved me so much that his body broke when I wasn't around. I felt that pain before... when I lost Darla.

💓Because of all of you, Alfie is here with us today, healing from his emergency #pusurgery and expected to live a healthy, happier life now. ❤️‍🔥We are eternally grateful for your incredible generosity and love. We are especially grateful for Dr. Gifford, Alfie's surgeon. May God grant me the chance to provide the same generosity in return one day! #orangecat 🐈Want to donate to our GoFundMe?
