✨The Queer Mystic Day-long Retreat Program is here✨

Join us for a day of somatic healing, mystical experiences, nature, and meaningful connection created for our queer community and our allies. From connecting with rescue horses to sound healing, energy work, and community conversations, this is a space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and find your people. 🌿🐴🔮

Your ticket does more than give you a day of healing — it helps support animal rescue, mental health, and accessible community wellness💚

Grab your tickets before October 17th to take advantage of our discounted pricing! Come be part of something meaningful, and let’s grow a little magic together.

We can’t wait to share this day with you! ✨

#QueerCommunity #QueerHealing #SomaticHealing #animalrescue #mentalhealthmatters❤️

@winplacehome will guide the group through an interactive energy demonstration with their OTB rescue horses, offering a unique opportunity to explore the subtle energy we carry and how it influences those around us✨

Through the horses’ natural sensitivity to body language and presence, you’ll get to experience firsthand how your energy can shape your connection with these beautiful animals🐴💜

We’ll come together in a cozy, intentional group setting to create our own sage bundles using a blend of herbs and flowers🪻🌼

For centuries, cultures around the world have used sacred herbs in rituals for cleansing, grounding, and setting intentions💖

As we mindfully gather and bundle our natural materials, you’ll have a chance to slow down, connect with the group, and create something meaningful to take home with you.

This somatic group experience invites you to slow down, reconnect with your body, and explore the emotions we carry within us🧘

Guided by our facilitator, you’ll move through intentional movements and visualization exercises designed to deepen self-awareness, release tension, and create space for emotional expression.

Come as you are, move at your own pace, and leave feeling more grounded, present, and connected to yourself💓

Halfway through the day, we’ll take a pause to enjoy coffee and matcha, browse our local vendors, explore tarot, and shop unique finds.

We’ll spend time with horses, practice somatic work, enjoy a riveting sound-bath, walk amongst a market of healers & makers, and so much more.

We’ll provide spaces for facilitator-led conversations about what it’s like to be queer in today’s time, while we unravel and release the weight of recent events

While our conversations and support spaces will be queer focused, we welcome any allies to join us for the day to give space for our friends, and our family, to feel safe and seen💜

Why horses? While they’re certainly having their year in the spotlight, it runs deeper over here.

For me, it’s a lifelong love story of freedom, a wild spirit, finding a sense of place within oneself and connectivity to nature. The tiny slivers of joy from a little girls heart. Being in the presence of these ancient, sentient souls is the closest to ‘source’ I’ve ever found. They take me out of my head and into my body. They quietly awaken the essence of my spirit that gets dimmed with the complexities of real life. Their energy invites me to return to my highest self, every single time I’m among them.

It’s hard to explain to non-horsey people. If you imagine your favorite place on earth, why it makes you feel that way, and who you are in those moments. The way your soul dog evokes an unbreakable, invisible bond to your heartstrings. The way putting noise cancelling headphones on finds the purity of the rest from the silence. The way an old friend visits you with your self entirely undone with no expectation other than you being you. It’s kind of like that.

To move in sync with a powerful animal 10X your size. Two separate beings connecting in a moving meditation partnership. It feels like you’re floating, flying, yet so very grounded and part of the earth. Horses feel your inner energy before your body ever shifts. Their physically enormous heart, slows down yours, to sync in harmony as one. They absorb your stress energetically and release it. The feeling of their warm breath, their velvet muzzle and deep soft eyes; scanning your body for anxiety, your heart for sadness, and asking nothing from you other than being who you really are in the moment with them. No performance, no acting fine, just being. That is the healing power of horses. You don’t have to ride to feel the effect in their presence. All you have to do is be yourself. That’s it.

Our second Healing w/ Horses Retreat dates launching soon. .

SEPTEMBER. 🤍

This month held a lot. A lot of moving pieces, creating, figuring things out as I went.

September has been a deep dive into creating Seeking Light Circle @seekinglightcircle — taking something that has lived in my heart for a long time and figuring out how to give it shape. What I want it to feel like. What I want women to experience. How I want them to feel held.

At the same time, Card De A @carddea has had its own obstacles. Owning a small business will humble you quickly. There have been decisions to make, things to work through, and plenty of moments where I’ve wondered what the hell I’m doing. :)

And then there’s just… life. My girls. Love. Much-needed time with my sister. Stella behind the wheel 🫣. Friends. Walks. The ocean. Horses. A little wine. Quiet mornings. Big skies. Dancing. And a rainbow that stopped me in my tracks.

Last weekend I went to a Healing With Horses retreat, and there was one horse I felt incredibly connected to. She kept coming close to me and kissing me, almost like she was giving me a little extra love and reassurance that everything was going to work out. 🥹

I felt my dad there. I don’t really know how else to explain it. I just did. 🤍

September wasn’t one thing. It was beautiful and complicated. Full and exhausting. Exciting and uncertain. There were things that filled me up and things that asked a lot of me.

But looking back at these little pieces of it, I think what I feel most is grateful. For the people beside me. For the work that means something to me. For the moments that bring me back to myself. And for the little reminders to keep looking up. 🌈🤍

September, you were a lot. You were overwhelming. And you were pretty beautiful, too. 🤍

There was a time when laughing like this felt strange.

I don’t know if I ever actually said that out loud. But I think some part of me believed that feeling better meant I was leaving them behind.

And there was another part of it too…
I worried that if people saw me smiling, laughing, going out or genuinely having a good time, they might think I wasn’t grieving anymore. That I wasn’t sad.
That I didn’t miss Marc.

As if grief had to look a certain way from the outside for people to understand that it was still very much there.

But grief and joy were never opposites. Joy doesn’t replace grief. It doesn’t erase the person I love. It doesn’t mean I’ve moved on from him.

Almost nine and a half years later, Marc is still woven into me. Into the way I love my girls. The things I notice. The way I show up for people. The life I’m building.

And there is so much about my life now that I genuinely love.
I can say that without betraying the life I had before. I can miss him and laugh until my stomach hurts. I can wish he were here and still be excited about what’s ahead.

I can carry grief and be deeply happy. Both can be true.

Maybe that’s one of the things I wish someone had told me in the beginning:

You don’t have to look sad every moment for your grief to be real.

And you don’t have to choose between missing someone you love and loving the life you have. 🤍

Seeking Light Circle is coming soon. A place for conversations just like this. Registration opens in December. 🤍

Some things bring you back to yourself without ever asking you to explain where you’ve been.

For me, horses are that special place.

There is something about standing beside an animal 10x your size that has no interest in who you are on paper.

They don’t care how much you accomplished that week.
How many people needed something from you.
How long the list is waiting at home.

They only know the version of you standing in front of them today.

And somehow, in their presence, that noise goes silent.

Your shoulders drop.
Your breathing slows.
You stop thinking about where you need to be next and remember what it feels like to simply be alive.

That is the heart behind HEALING WITH HORSES . . an intimate afternoon created for women to step away from everything they carry and spend a few hours in the quiet company of horses, nature, and one another.

No expectations.
No horse experience needed.
Nothing to prove, fix, or become.

Just come exactly as you are. You’re right on time.

Saturday, September 26 | 1:30–6:30 PM

We’re keeping this gathering intentionally intimate, so space is limited. 🤍

A few days ago, we stepped onto a ranch in Canyon Country, California… and immediately felt the energy shift.

Everything became quieter. Softer. More grounded.

And then we learned something even more beautiful about the land: it is rich in quartz. Quartz is often referred to as the “Master Healer” believed to help restore balance to the mind, body and spirit. Standing there, surrounded by ancient oak trees, open sky and these incredible horses… we could feel why this place feels unique.

We were there for a site visit for something very special happening in just 12 days:

HEALING WITH HORSES
Presented by @alchemy_collective_ & @winplacehome @halfhalthooligan
Saturday, September 26 | 1:30–6:30 PM
📍 Win Place Home | Santa Clarita, CA

An intimate afternoon for women to slow down, reconnect and receive.
Grounding with the herd
Somatic breathwork
Restorative movement with @maurihelena
Nervous system regulation
Reflection, connection & community
Dinner at dusk
No riding. No horse experience necessary.

There is something profoundly healing about being in the presence of horses, especially these beautiful Thoroughbreds who are themselves being given the space, safety and trust to begin their next chapter.

And perhaps that is what makes this afternoon so special: a place where the land, the horses and the women gathering there all have something to teach us about coming home to ourselves.

Win Place Home is a female-founded 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, retraining and finding lifelong homes for retired Thoroughbreds. Through their Healing with Horses program, they are creating a beautiful model of mutual healing for horses and humans alike.

Comment “HORSES HEAL” to reserve your place.
Only a few spots left.

Come as you are.
Let the land hold you.
Let the horses remind you.
Go deeper.
