But what did you learn? I may have stopped getting professional degrees with my BFA, but I am a student of life every day. I take everything I have experienced through jobs, hosting events, mentoring, and being a mentee.

In this final clip of my series, I speak on what I’ve learned over the past 14 years of running a business. Thank you @halittaart for interviewing me and if you would like to meet me in person, meet me at my next art show July 25-27.

As we come off a weekend celebrating Black American liberation, I thought it would be a perfect time to discuss the themes of my artwork involving Caribbean and American themes. I come from a melting pot of cultures in my family, and I highlight our lived experiences through my work and how I show up in non-Black spaces.

See some of my work live in Brooklyn July 25-27 at my next art show.

Check out my third installment of four clips from my conversation with Halitta Art.

Today’s snippet from my conversation with @halittaart on how I went from ashy to classy 😂

Seriously, how did I go from just creating to selling? I have this thing about ownership—owning your own work, owning what you produce, and owning the spaces you create for people to consume your work. I started my art show series in 2017 and will host my FIFTH art show in July.

Here’s some background on how many years it took me to sell my first $2K art piece.

I had the opportunity to sit down with @halittaart and discuss my career as an artist and curator. This clip speaks about my mission work with @ub_asb years ago when I was in college and how I completed a mural in Rincon, Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷

When I have the opportunity to share my talents for good, I make sure I give to organizations whose mission is to uplift the communities they serve.
