‘#7 Lives Forever’

Since the age of 5, the football field was a sacred place for me. A place to grow. Compete. And for me, it was a place that allowed me to have life-changing mindset shifts. It pushed me out of my comfort zone. As an incredibly shy kid growing up, football in a lot of ways taught me genuine leadership and staying true to my most authentic self.

I will forever say that football is a microcosm of life. The ultimate team game. Rather than alone, you go further with people who are dialed in on the same goal ahead. People who have the same scorching tenacity and ambition as you do.

A little over a week ago, I had the honor of being inducted into my High School’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Although I once had aspirations of playing the game at the highest level, I have a deep sense of gratitude and fulfillment in knowing I’ve made an impact along the way. That’s all I want to do. While I journey through life and achieve my goals, I want to impact people’s lives in a positive manner. So much so, that they’ll have an everlasting feeling of reverence for me.

As I’m typing this, it almost brings me to tears going down memory lane and I hope you all can feel the warmth in my words when reading.

Have you had a one night stand? Does it give off a slightly sleazy vibe?

Join the discussion as we debate on if it's a good or bad thing.

Some say it's generally not something you can build a relationship on because once that barrier has been broken, there's no going back. Share your thoughts!
