RAVANA: FROM EGO TO DEVOTION

Legend says Ravana, the mighty King of Lanka, once tried to lift Mount Kailash—the abode of Mahadev—near the sacred landscape of Nandi Parvat and the Saptarishi Caves along the mystical Inner Kora.

Shiva simply pressed the mountain down with His toe, trapping Ravana beneath it.

Pinned beneath Kailash, Ravana’s pride dissolved into surrender. He began an intense penance, praising Shiva and playing the Veena—some traditions even describing an instrument fashioned from his own body. From this agony and devotion emerged the legendary Shiva Tandava Stotram, traditionally attributed to Ravana.

🔥 From ego came surrender.
From suffering came prayer.
From devotion came immortal poetry.

Pleased with his tapasya, Shiva is said to have blessed Ravana with immense powers and the divine Chandrahasa sword.

Yet Ravana’s story reminds us: knowledge, strength and power cannot protect anyone from the consequences of ego and choice.

Even the strongest must bow before the Divine.

From the ground, Kailash feels immense.
From the sky, it feels almost otherworldly.

For centuries, Mount Kailash has been surrounded by stories, symbolism, faith, and mystery. Perhaps that is why even a glimpse from above can leave you completely speechless.

Some mountains are seen.

Flying from Lhasa to Purang, we were gifted this breathtaking glimpse of Mount Kailash rising majestically above the Himalayas.

For a moment, everything stood still.
No words. No noise. Just faith, wonder, and an overwhelming sense of peace. ✨

🔱 THE ATMA LINGA OF KAILASH — WHEN THE MOUNTAIN MOVES…

What if an avalanche on Mount Kailash could make you pause and wonder… what are we really witnessing? ❄️🏔️

In spiritual understanding, “Atma” means the Self or soul, while “Linga” is a sacred symbol associated with Lord Shiva. The Atma Linga can therefore be understood as a symbol of Shiva’s eternal, divine presence — the formless taking form. 🕉️🔱

During our Kailash Yatra, I captured this original footage of an avalanche on Mount Kailash — a breathtaking reminder of the immense power and mystery of this sacred mountain.

Some pilgrims and oral traditions associate unusual natural formations around Kailash with divine manifestations, and some interpret moments like these through the lens of the Atma Linga.

But is it truly a divine manifestation… or simply the incredible force of nature?

Science can describe the phenomenon. Faith gives it meaning. 🙏

And perhaps that is the greatest mystery of Kailash…

✨ Kailash doesn’t reveal all its secrets.
It simply invites us to experience them.

For this Nepal flood, I received donations totaling 550,000 rupees from dozens of my Chinese friends on WeChat. We spent four days buying supplies for the affected area. Every time, Pasang, this kind Nepali young man, helped me carry out the donation work. I’m so grateful to him 🙏. It warms my heart thinking that among all the donated supplies delivered to the disaster zone, one multi-functional charger with a light can light up an entire family’s home!❤️

Kindness has a face. In this case, it has many.

My friends in India came forward and helped me organise two relief drives for the flood survivors in Nepal.

They quietly contributed and stood by me without seeking recognition.

In fact, many of them were reluctant to have their names or photographs shared.

But I feel they deserve to be seen. Not for praise, but because their kindness can inspire others.

In a world that can sometimes feel so cruel and unfeeling, these are the people who remind me that there is still goodness left.

This beautiful poster, created with the help of AI, puts faces to that goodness.

In the first drive, we sent biscuits, noodles,sanitary napkins and diapers.

In the second lot, we sent stationery comprising notebooks, drawing copies, pen, pencils, geometry box, colour pencils, erasers, sharpners.

I dropped them off at the Collection point of Hami Nepal.
