Fancy 50p off a pint today @hammertontap and @hammertonhouse ?!

The UK has one of the highest beer tax levels in Europe, ten times higher than in Germany.

We and @societyofindependentbrewers and many other brewers believe the Chancellor has to cut the tax on draught beer served in pubs before it’s too late.

Draught Relief is currently at 13.9% but widening it to 30% or more could be a real boost for our community pubs, independent breweries and the jobs they support. It could see more jobs created, grow the economy and see millions of extra pints being poured.

To show our support @hammertontap and @hammertonhouse are taking part in ‘Drop the Tap Tax Day’ today Friday 9 Oct, from 4pm by taking 50p off the price of a Pint of Panama Creature, Tuned, Groll and Tint ! One condition, you sign the petition!!🙏

This discount reflects the difference between taxation levels in Germany and the UK.

Lower the tax on a pint in the pub. Support local beer. Support local pubs.

Back the campaign with us 🙏 link in our bio #dropthetax #dropthetaptax

As they say, good things come in small packages and this particularly true with our latest low ABV Table Pale.

Brewed with some of our favourite US and New Zealand hops Chinook, Calypso, Rakau and and then followed up with a sprinkle of Kohatu, to give this Pale a powerful aroma of tangerines, fruit and pine.

Get it in 30 L kegs this week.

This is one of the beers we all look forward to brewing every year. Thats right its time for our annual release of one of our most distinctive and exotic brews, CHICHA SOUR, a fruity, naturally soured beer inspired by the traditional Peruvian drink Chicha Morada. Brewed with Maize Morado (Peruvian purple corn), this 4.9% sour pours a stunning deep purple and delivers vibrant berry flavours, natural acidity, and a crisp, clean finish.

A true standout, from its exotic roots to its eye-catching colour and refreshingly tart flavour. Whether it’s your first time stocking it or you’ve been waiting for its return, now’s the perfect moment to bring something completely different to your customers.

Health Benefits of Chicha: not only is it delicious, the purple corn delivers a rich boost of anthocyanins—a super-antioxidant more potent than blueberries. These natural pigments work alongside polyphenols from spices and natural citrus to support cardiovascular health, blood pressure regulation, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory balance, while also promoting vision support.

High-antioxidant refreshment in every sip.

It’s taken us a good few weeks to be at the stage where we could post this, but we recently said goodbye to our sweet Hoppy at 11 years old.

She joined our crew almost from the very start—coming on board just six months in—and spent over a decade bringing endless kindness, companionship, and love to the brewery—along with a relentless pursuit of playing fetch 🏐

She was such a huge part of our story, and you can see it in our history—she has featured on more of our beer cans and label designs than anyone or anything else.

To say she leaves a void is an understatement.

We miss you more than words can say, and your spot in our hearts will never be replaced. Rest easy, sweet girl.🐕🦴❤️

Three years in the making, but worth the wait! 🏆 As independent, local brewers, we actually started dreaming up this beer back in 2023 when we first got a sniff that our neighbourhood might have a historic trophy to celebrate. We might have been a little presumptuous back then, but the wait was absolutely worth it.

With the brewery being born and bred right here in Islington, our roots mean everything to us. Today, we’re prouder than ever to stand alongside our community, our neighbours, and fellow fans to honour this incredible moment with a purely independent, grassroots tribute brew.

Pints of Cannon Fire will be pouring at a select number of our amazing local Islington friends’ venues around Islington — and of course at @hammertonbrew and @hammertonhouse from Saturday (Final Day). Come grab a pint, support local, and celebrate with the neighbourhood! 🍻

Not heading down to N5 or N7? We’ve got you covered—you can pre-order cans on our webstore for delivery at the end of the week or collection 🔴⚪ #islington #n5 #northlondon

All rehearsed and tight for our show with @the_mighty_heartache and @lanashelleymusic at the @the_water_rats on Tuesday. We're gonna rock from start to finish. This post was sponsored by pints of Groll, Tuned, and a Sundae stout thingy (very nice) from @hammertonbrew @hammertonhouse
