PART 11: Local businesses to support 💙

We’re back at it! And this time… part 11 is coming after 12 because I apparently lost track 😅

If this is your first time seeing this series, here’s the context:

A couple of weeks ago, I spoke up about what’s happening in our communities and our country—and how heavy everything has been feeling.

I shared some of the hateful rhetoric that came my way. And while I believe it’s important not to ignore that reality, I also found myself asking: How can we REALLY make an impact?

Instead of spiraling in outrage and negativity, I wanted to channel that energy into something constructive. This series was the answer.

You started flooding my DMs and comments with businesses that make people feel safe, welcomed, and supported on Long Island. Spaces run by good humans. Places that show up for others.

This list is built entirely from your nominations.

As always, the ones I’ve personally experienced and can truly vouch for are marked with a ❤️. I continue to vet the rest thoughtfully.

And starting now:
Any income I earn directly from this “Local Businesses to Support” series will be donated to @olaeasternli—an organization doing vital work supporting our immigrant neighbors here on Long Island. If we’re going to spotlight community, we’re going to invest in it, too. The more you engage with these posts, the more money we can donate!

Thank you for continuing to submit safe, inclusive spaces, services, products, and accounts run by people who care.

Please nominate in the comments only—not via DM.

Part 13 comin’ since part 12 existed before 11… and yeah I’m just a mess.

I went to a lovely dinner in Wainscott last night hosted by the fabulous Nikki Wilson, owner of my favorite Hamptons flower stand. (You’ll recognize it in the second pic.) The weather could not have been more perfect and the setting could not have been more idyllic. Thank you @osborngirlsflowerstand for having me to your charming home and sharing your gorgeous garden and flowers with us. We made our own bouquets from her cut flowers (they’re on my sunporch now), and feasted on delicious food from local caterer Silver Spoon. Beyond the setting and the food, meeting so many wonderful women was the highlight of the evening. Hope you all have an equally wonderful Sunday! #summerinthehamptons #gardenparty #wainscott #thehamptons
