Thank you to all who attended the 26th Annual An Evening With Heroes, Presented by @duncansupply! If you were not able to attend due to the weather, we missed you!

Donations can still be made to help us reach our fundraising goal. All donations will further the 3 Summits of our mission - to provide meaningful 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 to cancer patients, education to promote cancer 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and resources to advance 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 for a cure. Link in bio to donate!

We also have a few silent auction packages remaining - shop at Buy Now prices through Sunday, February 1, at 11:59PM EST! Link in bio

Thank you to all our Summit Partners, event sponsors, guests, and volunteers for your generosity to the Indiana cancer community.

Last week, Team Heroes came together for their annual holiday party, and what a celebration it was! As part of the festivities, the athletes embraced the spirit of giving by collecting LEGO sets for the Heroes Foundation Team JOEY Program. These sets will bring smiles and joy to Indiana’s youngest cancer patients this holiday season.

Thank you to all Team Heroes athletes for your continued commitment to the Heroes Foundation and being cancer prevention ambassadors in our community. And thank you @pearlstreetpizzeriageist and server Toby for hosting Team Heroes not just for this party, but all year long!

Help us celebrate 25 years of Team Heroes at An Evening With Heroes, Presented by @duncansupply, on January 24, 2026! Details and tickets available at heroesfoundation.org/events

Whether they are sharing about the Heroes Foundation mission or bringing food to those who need it most, Team Heroes rides with purpose in all they do.

Thank you to our 2026-2028 Team Heroes Sponsors: @ceritypartners, @helmreichlaw, Oak Street Funding, @rayskillmancars, @shantifarm_llc, @taft_law, Ultrasonic Services Plus, Inc.

Grateful to have completed a Knobstone Trail thru hike this weekend with our son, John.

Deam to Delaney Nobo hike on the KT by the numbers: 3 counties, 3.5 days, 4 lake hike-bys, 49 miles, 7,910 feet of climb, and of course countless smiles and laughs.

Although the temps dipped to freezing every night, the days were sunny and mid 50’s with near perfect hiking weather. No bugs and not a drop of rain. However the thick layers of leaves hid rocks, ruts, nuts, holes and roots which made navigating up and down the knobs tricky and at times left me falling and even crawling up or down the hills which led to even more laughs (no injuries, praise God.)🥾

Had you asked me when Tom and I finished our San Diego to Key West bike ride in March if backpacking would be a “thing” this summer, I’d have said “no” but that’s what happens when you’re at a wedding and an acquaintance says she’s looking for a backpacking buddy.👯

Season Wrap Up:

Indiana Triple Crown Complete: KT, Tecumseh and Adventure Hiking Trail 👑👑👑

Hardest Trail: the Knobby 💪🏻

Most Scenic Trail: the North Country Manistee River Loop (Michigan)

Most Valuable New Learning: how to dehydrate and make my own backcountry trail meals (thanks for the inspo, Hana!) 👩🏼‍🍳

Best New Equipment: the PStyle (enables females to pee standing up and is a gamechanger!) 🚽

Most Grateful For: my hiking buddies this season, Katie, Hana, John, the Hoosier Hiker Council for their organization and volunteers and my husband Tom who is my #1 advocate, water cache super hero and primo hiker shuttler. Dang is my tent lonely without him.💕

And I’ll leave you with one thought after finishing the KT, I want to kiss my trekking poles.🤣
