If you’re in a position to be able and willing to support, please consider contributing to disaster relief efforts any way you can 🫶🏽 Polynesian resilience is the collective capacity to endure, adapt, and thrive. For generations our people and ancestors have made it through hard times, not as individuals, but as many, together ✊🏽 We were staying with a friend in Hanalei on the north shore for the past few weeks. Kaua’i - like many others - got hit hard. Mere weeks since Hurricane Lala struck these same shores, and only a few months since the devastating Kona Lows. Utilities been down and out, washing and bathing in the streams and waterfalls due to no showers, hot as hell, and yet still the community stays smiling, sharing love, all hands on deck and helping each other get through 🙏🏽 💚 100% OF GIFTS ON THIS REEL WILL BE DONATED TO @HANALEIMARMET to help provide food/supplies directly to the north shore residents of Kaua’i 💚 (Proof of receipt will be shared!!) Also sharing details for some local businesses, nonprofits, and residents helping with direct aid 🫶🏽 These clips from the morning after barely scratch the surface of the impact 💔 Didnt film the actual recovery efforts or houses for the sake of privacy, and our hands were full and busy. But there are tens of thousands of people on Kaua’i without power, food, water, or medical supplies, and in need of support. This is not ‘social media content’ this is their reality right now. Their homes. Their land. Their life. Any amount helps - even a $1 donation adds up 🌺 “Nāu te rourou, nāku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi” // Working alone may help you survive, but working together helps a whole community prosper ✊🏽 Ngā mihi nui / Mahalo nui loa / Thanks so much 🙏🏽 Kia kaha Kaua’i 🖤 #kauai #hurricanelowell #hawaii #hanalei #disasterrelief

Everything I ate in Kaua’i 🌺🍣🥥🍤 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Save for your future trip to Kaua’i and consider it manifesting! Welina Terrace - Our favorite is the Crispy Tuna and alt he rolls were are so good, can’t go wrong. Wake Up Delicious - This place is a must, my favorite are the garlic shrimp and the coconut shrimp. Get the Mac Salad or the Kimchi! The Sandbox - This is the pool side restaurant at the 1 Hotel. The poke nachos are so good we also really enjoy the pizza which is made in a wood fire oven. L&L Hawaiian Barbecue - There are different locations, we had the one at Hanalei Bay. I did the combo with Coconut Shrimp and Garlic Shrimp. The Coconut Shrimp here are soooo delicious. Hanalei Bread Company - Great place for breakfast or pastries. Can’t go wrong with anything here, our favorites are the waffle and the breakfast sandwich but the Açaí bowls are also delicious. The Dolphin Fish Market - Fresh poke bowls and sushi rolls. We love grabbing ours and heading to the beach. All the options are great! Little Fatties Tacos - The fresh catch fried fish taco was by far my favorite. If the ceviche is available grab that too, trust! Puka Dogs - This place is in Poipu Beach. The concept is amazing, I think hot dogs should be like this everywhere. Toasting the bread inside is a game changer. We were a bit overwhelmed with the sauce options but I doubt you can go wrong. Kilo - Can’t forget dessert! These cinnamon rolls are soooo sooo delicious, super soft, the perfect amount of frosting and perfect to head to the beach with your coffee with. SAVE THIS FOR KAUAI 🌺🌴 After 26 times to the island and 2 summers living here, here is MY list for the Garden Isle ✨ * tips: don’t get tag your location, just use generic tag for island * be respectful of the land and the people, this is their home & culture * say aloha and mean it * learn something about the Hawaiian culture while you’re there. take a class at your resort, talk story with a local, or volunteer with a local organization * Realize you’re visiting a beautiful and vibrant island filled with history and aloha STAY - @grandhyattkauai always and forever.
