A dream come true to work with @winniecatherine_

Winnie and I used to work beside one another in the Old Bank Arcade, and over the years I’ve kept an eye on her beautiful mahi.

From Instagram, to billboards around Pōneke, recently at NZFW, and now at Taylor in the Old Bank Arcade for her pop up!

So it felt really special shooting this for her. It was also really special to see this pair of earrings show up on the day.

The earrings along with a some others were made by the incredible @camille_paloma_walton for Winnie’s NZFW collection.

i. We had the beautiful Laila as our model for the day, and explored.

ii. I explored Winnie’s rack at the Taylor later that day with the last of my film.

We had the most incredible hair by @emmieswarren and makeup by @hanarileymakeup

I was in awe.

Winnie brought one of her Yu Mei bags for the shoot (so did I).

The garment I think I’m gonna buy next? This shirt.

SLUG.

A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to listen to @theshelternz breakfast panel and Vicki Taylor said something I haven’t been able to forget.

“It would be called couture in the rest of the world, but here we call it Emerging Designers.”

Throughout the panel, Julia’s incredible brainchild SLUG kept popping up (as many of the designers were also involved).

So, I asked Julia if I could swing past yesterday before the opening to shoot some of the incredible mahi that is available.

To my incredible team, thank you so much for helping out; you are so special to me!

Macy- darling girl, you deserve all the flowers for this. You navigated through racks of clothes with ease and styled everything on the fly.

Hana- I will be dreaming of these makeup looks for the rest of my life. You are a dream to work with.

To my models- thank you so much for being involved, each of you brought something so singular to this shoot.

And lastly, to @_jpalm_ thank you for this wonderful display of craftsmanship. For all the hours of admin and organisation, you’ve created something so spectacular.

Fashion Week: everything I did when I wasn’t working on a show !!

Had time to actually see a show this year so of course I went to The Future of Fashion to watch friends @winniecatherine_ and @laurencesabrine and all the other incredible designers ! Wearing @laurencesabrine @rhodanunn @lelajacobs

Stopped into the stunninggg @bijoux.gallery.jewellery, caught up with the lovely @____chills and struggled not to unload my bank account for every piece (bought one ofc but these are on the wish list)

Saw @youandiartistry get this martini + @glasshousefragrances perfume FW special from @bossi.co.nz and needed no more convincing clearly

Went to @millerroadfragrances and made my own custom scent to remind me of NZFW26 ! The combo: woods, high tea, ocean 〰️

Caught coming off the pier for the @zambesisince79 after the show with @hannahvassallo_ @hanarileymakeup by the gorg Eliza Rose

As soon as I see burrito on a menu it’s over @elmosnz

My favourite self care for the week: a fresh set of @flutterathome self adhesive lashes !!

…may have had more martini’s to finish the week because when they come with perfume that makes the drink basically free right?! 🍸

Cup is so full ✔️ Met so many stunning creatives this Fashion Week missing it already x
