CCW ‘16 staat met 5 punten op plek 8. Heeten bevindt zich op plek 5 met enkel 2 punten meer dan CCW ‘16.

Heeten wilt zichzelf revancheren op basis van het 0-3 verlies tegen SDOL. De statistieken zagen er zeer goed uit voor Heeten, maar als je zelf geen doelpunten maakt en ze te makkelijk tegen krijgt dan resulteert dat in die uitslag.

Bury FC: Keep the Faith.

Bury fans have seen the depths of financial disaster and felt the heat of phoenix rising from the flames. They show the epitome of keeping the faith.

Debs Parr was at Gigg Lane to see the Shakers take on Harrogate Town for a place in the FA Cup first round proper.

“We’ve had our darkest days, now it’s our time again” reads a banner in the stands.

Diamonds: A goal’s best friend.

Rushden and Diamonds were as high as League One in 2003 but now play in the eighth tier of English football.

If this club is Icarus, then its fall has been prolonged, crashing through the canopy and never quite hitting rock bottom, which gives a sense of purpose.

But AFC Rushden and Diamonds are on the rise again and Tom Reed saw them claim a memorable win vs Morecambe in the FA Cup 4th Round qualifying.

Hanwell Town FC, nicknamed “The Geordies”, founded by Newcastle road workers and a home from home for supporters of the Mags in West London.

Tom Reed was part of the record attendance as Hanwell Town took on Dover Athletic in the FA Cup.

For atmosphere, togetherness, value and spirit, Hanwell Town is up there with the best.

Like any other football fan on holiday, Laura Gates naturally wanted to sniff out any sort of game she could find while on holiday in Cyprus.

Using @futbologyapp, she headed to a third division game between Anorthosis Mouttagiakas F.C and Ethnikos Assias.

Friendly supporters cracking peanuts out of their shells and sending pleasantries towards the referee.

She could spend many an afternoon here for its Cypriot soccer soul.

Darlington: Quaking all over.

Darlington FC, football league stalwarts for many years with a very loyal fanbase.

The infamous arena saga had club accountants living up to the nickname “The Quakers”.

But this now fan-owned club is on the long journey back to the EFL, finding strength in its community.

Martin Lindsay went to Darlo for a local grudge match vs Hebburn Town.

Gerrit Nauber maakte na lang blessureleed weer zijn rentree tijdens een oefenwedstrijd. Zijn laatste officiële wedstrijd voor Go Ahead dateert alweer van 23 Oktober 2025. Bijna een jaar geleden versloeg Go Ahead in de Europa League Aston Villa met 2-1. Gerrit viel toen uit met een gebroken been. De revalidatie duurde lang en ging gepaard met de nodige tegenslagen. Maar nu is “Der Mauer” terug, en dat vinden wij natuurlijk geweldig !!

New: Gooners in Highbury: @alex_amoros in conversation with @tomreedwriting

Distances matter in football, whether it is the markings on a pitch, the ref’s measurements for a defensive wall or judging if a mate is within earshot for your order at the bar.

Arsenal’s Emirates sits less than 500 metres from the site of the grand Highbury stadium so the old gaff is still very much there in spirit, even if the North Bank and Clock End are gone.

Alex Amorós felt something in the air at Arsenal before the 2025/26 season and decided that Highbury would be the centre of it all.

So he took his film camera and captured N5, the people and the vibe of a season that turned out to be more than memorable.

The results form the new fanzine Gooners in Highbury which is a candid snapshot of a club in time of success for both the men’s team (who won the Premier League) and women’s eleven (who claimed the Champions Cup).

The fanzine is 97 pages long, featuring mainly portraiture but also poignant scenes from match-day.

“I cover the FA Cup, Champions League, you can see the four seasons, this is more like a documentary process covering everything. I didn’t do the Premier League parade as I wanted it to be about what makes such a season.”

And that’s what Gooners in Highbury does, capturing the everyday moments of match-day that combine to make a season which won’t be forgotten any time soon.
