So many of you have asked me about these 3D Sound and Phonics Cards from @Hand2Mind and for the longest time, they just weren’t available!

As a literacy educator, one of my favorite features is the 3D picture that shows the way the mouth moves! That visual cue is so helpful for little learners, and with these cards, children can even see it during independent practice.

That’s the difference for me! They provide interactive phonics for kids and visual cues.

So many uses, too! Beginning sound sorting, matching games, phonics activities… these cards really lend themselves to hands-on fun! Plus it gives me that extra support for children to develop correct sound pronunciation.

A quick literacy centre from this week!

I put out the letter sounds we’ve been learning and a tray of random objects for the kids to match to the correct letter sound. Once they found their matches, they used the @hand2mind Marble Tracers to see how to write the letter. After they wrote it on their whiteboard.

Simple to set up, easy to switch up with new sounds, and lots of practice with beginning sounds and letter formation!

3 phonemic awareness tips to try with the phoneme toolkit from @hand2mind ❤️

Phonemic awareness is the foundation for spelling and word recognition, and hands-on practice makes it so much more engaging 👀

✅ Isolate the sound: say just the first sound you hear
✅ Segment and blend: stretch the word out sound by sound, then blend it back together
