We will be getting crafty for Christmas at our meeting tomorrow (at 19:45 on 19/11) as we repurpose unwanted clothes into gorgeous eco-tinsel.
As a bonus, doors open at 19:15 for an exclusive mini-Christmas Fayre (and will reopen when our eco-tinsel meeting ends). At the Fayre, our members will be selling a wonderful selection of Christmas goodies, including ceramics (both decorations and gift ideas), hand-made cards, cross-stitch bookmarks/ key rings, chilli jam, macrame key rings/bag charms and lovely felt pendants.
We do hope you can come - entry for non-members is £5 per person. Eco tinsel photos are illustrative only (copyright Crisis UK)

If you've been following me for a while, you may remember that I used to share photos of my Nature Table throughout the year as the wheel turned & the festivals came & went. Then, 18 months ago, the joy went out of it, & I stopped. I became self conscious. I worried that people would think I'm weird for creating these silly little scenes, & just not see the point of them.
•
Well, they're back, because I realised something incredible... I AM weird, & that's okay! 😂 Also, I love creating these "silly little scenes" because by reflecting the changing seasons, they connect me to the outside world that I'm so desperately missing, now that I'm mostly housebound.
•
So, as Summer appears to have returned today, & it's absolutely boiling hot here in deepest darkest Berkshire, I feel it's alright to show you my Summer Nature Table.
•
NB: The eagle eyed amongst you might have spotted that my collection of Glosters Mugsters has... ahem... grown... a tad. Well yes, you might think that, but I couldn't possibly comment. 😉

Image Description: a Waldorf inspired seasonal scene on our nature table. The table is covered with a bright yellow cloth. There's a mustard yellow jug holding twiggy branches decorated with little pieces of sea glass that have been crocheted around in pale coloured cotton. At the base of this is a collection of pebbles that have also been crocheted around in similar cotton. Along the back of the scene are three summery images: sunflowers, a sunset, & a Lammas Goddess. In front of those are several tiny felt flower fairies & seasonal wooden figures. In the middle of the table is a crocheted doily or mandala which features a bright sunflower design in warm shades of red, orange & yellow, surrounded with green leaves & blue sky. In the centre of the mandala is a lighted tea-light in a tiny ceramic honeycomb lantern. On either side, there are tiny ceramic sandcastles, & little wooden doves. On the wall above the nature table are four shelves holding a much-loved collection of colourful espresso mugs. 💜🌻💕✨️
