FIVE BEAUTY TOOLS I ACTUALLY REACH FOR & RATE

*The sculpta by @deessepro.nz it’s great because it has multiple settings - Electrical muscle stimulation, radio frequency and red LED light which helps to rejuvenate, tone and boost circulation and lymph flow. It’s great for upcoming events or when you need a pick me up (although it’s always best results with regular use)

GUA SHA - when done correctly gua sha is a fantastic way to boost the flow of blood and qi (energy). I always refer to my book by Clive Witham for guidance. Gua SHA I’m using is from @hands_ofmine

The OG is @the_lymphatic_brush by Cecily Braden. I find this so relaxing!!! It’s an easy way to get good lymphatic drainage. There’s 2 sizes large for body and small for face. It helps to Depuff and detox. This is a must have.

I adore face taping! It must be done using kinesiology tape to reap the benefits which help to create space between the layers of skin so fluid can move freely. Helps with expression lines too.

Facial cupping - a lovely way to boost circulation and increase lymphatic movement. Helps give a lovely glow to the skin with regular use and I’ve found it super helpful with plumping up fine lines and expression lines. Using @sculptbynicoleoil mini cup (coming soon)

*gifted - all opinions are my own and I adore this tool! (Literally manifested to try it 👏🏼)

Melbourne winters are brutal on the skin.

Skin soaking is my FAVOURITE go to for extra hydration and its so easy.

How to do it:
1. Wash your face with a very gentle cleanser, or just rinse with cool water.
2. Soak a soft clean cloth in cool or lukewarm water.
3. Press it gently onto your face— don’t rub.
4. Hold it there for 5-8 deep breaths, re-wetting the cloth and repeat a few times.
5. Pat skin lightly so it’s still a little damp.
6. Apply a very simple moisturiser or barrier cream to “seal in” the water.

And hello to soft and hydrated skin. Plus if the water is on the cooler side this is really good for the nervous system.

Protocol is often misunderstood as something formal or fixed.

A set of rules to follow.

But in this work, protocol is relational.

It is how you orient to what is being opened, who is present, what is being asked and what you are responsible for

It includes
consent
boundaries
awareness of impact
and your relationship to power

Without this, space holding can remain surface level.

With it, the work begins to hold together.

“I gained so much insight into the protocols of ceremony that I’ve now taken into my own work. It has been a game changer in the way I operate, and the confidence I feel in facilitating has shifted immensely.” - Mary Gorton @hands_ofmine

This is a core part of Sacred Space.

Applications are open.

I love working on the hips/glutes/lower back as these are areas I find I hold a lot of tightness and tension.

circular spiral movements, fascial stretching and going slow

Mugwort Imrama

This past weekend a small circle gathered here in the forest to walk the gateways of Grandmother Mugwort.

For a weekend we stepped away from ordinary life and crossed into a quieter rhythm of ritual, listening, and remembrance.

These weekends unfold in my home and in the forest that surrounds it.

Mugwort is an old threshold plant.

Cronewort of the gateways
gateways of dreaming, of memory,
of ancestors, of the wild parts of the self.

She guides us through those crossings until something deeper begins to stir.

Until the body remembers what it has always known.

Bone will know.

These gatherings are always small circles.
Real, simple, and deeply relational.

Expressions of interest for the next Mugwort Imrama are now open.
Link in bio.

The therapy you didn't know you needed.

I truly believe touch is essential for humans.
So deeply therapeutic to us - think of how a big hearty hug makes you feel warm, or when a pet sits right beside you or desires constant affection.

Touch is the first sense we develop and one of the most important for emotional well-being, helping us regulate our nervous system, and to bring connection.

Zenthai is hands on therapy - allowing you to come into your body in a way that feels safe for you.

HOODED EYES AND TIGHT FOREHEAD
-obviously there can be many reasons but often when our frontalis (which goes from forehead into the scalp) and surrounding muscles are tight it can cause a “drag down” resulting in a less lifted appearance of the eye/brows area.
These are some movements I do to help keep my muscles toned, released and fluid able to move more freely, which help with my hooded eyes.

Gua sha I’m using is a beautiful bian stone one from @hands_ofmine

It’s never easy to tell from a video but my movements and gua sha work is always gentle pressure xx
