“എല്ലാ activities-ലും തോന്നിയ ഒരു common കാര്യം, നമ്മളെല്ലാരും കാണുന്നത് ഒരേ കാര്യമാണ്, but different perspectives. And it all feels right.”

I wish for all witches wolves walruses that may we know again what we knew as a child and some more. happy pride. i wore ghunghroos after eons and moved in ways my kathak teacher would surely shun or gasp at. both i hope. she’d be so mad. i miss her.

Thanks to everyone who came to sit with the sound.
Low lights, low sound, full attention.
More nights like this soon.

Thirai Thoranam was born from the belief that every person carries a story within them — some through paintings, some through music, some through cinema, photography, conversations, movement, or moments that cannot even be explained through words. We wanted to create a space where all these stories could live together under one roof.

Thirai Thoranam is a community art living home shaped by a bunch of artists coming together through collective effort, grounded in deep values, art, and meaningful connection. It is a space that invites people to connect, create, and express in their own rhythm, located in the heart of Kozhikode. In a world that constantly rushes, we lean into slow living— allowing time for reflection, care, and presence. We are welcoming all artists and designers who are looking for a safe space that feels open, non-judgmental, and non-toxic, where ideas can breathe and individuality is embraced without hesitation.

At Thirai Thoranam, everything evolves through collective effort and finds form as collective output. It is where art meets community, not as a concept, but as a lived experience, as something you can feel in everyday life. The space flows as a community co-working space, encouraging connection building and growing together through organic interactions and creative exchange. With three studios opened— art, tattoo, and makeup led by inhouse individual artists, there is a constant movement of learning, exploration, and creativity. Beyond the studios, the community kitchen, workshops, gatherings, film screenings, yoga sessions, and residency programs bring a sense of warmth and rhythm, where moments turn into experiences and positive thinking into actions and expressions.

Thirai Thoranam is about co-existing with intention— being part of something larger while staying true to yourself. Rooted in strong values and a collective spirit, it continues to evolve as a place where people can slow down, discover, and express freely. There’s a quiet magic in how everything comes together here like a feel good story unfolding in real time, where art becomes a way of living, connections feel natural, and every step forward is shaped by togetherness, care, collective spirit and a sense of belonging.
