Second time using VR goggles to scale and trace my mural, and yeah, it’s incredible. And yeah, I have no idea what I’m doing.

Also- people make it look super easy, it’s not lol. But here’s some honest feedback nobody posts:

1. You have to break the wall up into sections. It won’t hold one giant image steady, so you work zone by zone.
2. If the wall’s too plain, the image drifts and “swims” on you. Pop a few reference marks up first so the cameras have something to lock onto.
3. I still wouldn’t trust it on portraits that need to actually look like someone. Faces shift a few millimetres and suddenly it’s not them anymore. That part is still on you.
4. It WILL make you feel sick if you’re not used to it. The first few goes I had to sit down. You adjust, but ease in.
5. Battery’s short. A couple of hours if you’re lucky. Charge it and don’t get comfortable.
6. The upside no one mentions: no projector, no power lead, no blacked-out room. You can trace in full daylight. Genuinely a game changer.

Here’s the thing though. It doesn’t paint it for you. It won’t give you a steady hand or the years of knowing what a wall actually needs. It’s a great tool and I guess a shortcut.

We are SO lucky to be making art at a time when tools like this even exist. The artists before us may have killed for these tools. Use them. Or don’t!

Guinness Wolrd Record for FRESHEST TUNA ROLL (Ocean to Mouth) in 3 minutes and 20 seconds 🤤

By far our greatest life achievement. Years of hard work and sacrifice led to this moment. If there was no wind interference and if we had a sharper knife… we would have done it in 2 minutes..
