POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Columbia, Missouri's Hang Your Hate are bringing "Worms?!" back with a new video, a few months after releasing their debut album "Projections of Misery". The hard rock/hardcore five-piece have put together a chaotic performance clip full of crash zooms, red barrels, white jumpsuits and actual worms, some of which ended up in singer Garrett Curry's mouth.

Behind all that is a pretty angry song about ordinary people living under political power, people supporting ICE, healthcare decisions made by AI and the small-town echo chambers Garrett has grown increasingly tired of. He calls the worms "just proles" and has plenty to say about the people who end up accepting the same systems he's criticising.

We got into the lyrics, the political stories that set him off, how the band made the video and the shots that didn't survive the edit. The clip goes public on October 23, ahead of their hometown show at Rose Music Hall two days later. Full interview and video at IDIOTEQ✖️com
