We are excited to share a look inside the beautiful studio opening we just hosted with the incredibly talented Hania Farrell!

We created these sketches for our to guide our visitors through the work exhibited and to show how Hanias beautiful works inhabit and interact with the physical space of her London studio.

Focus of the display was her ongoing photographic series Mental Hues alongside pieces from The Divers. Mental Hues explores the delicate intersections of memory, movement, and perception through long-exposure photographs taken from moving cars and trains, capturing luminous, fleeting fragments of time held in suspension. Hania then combines the smaller pieces in this series to, unique clusters known as Dyads, Triads, and Asterisms. The exhibition also features numerous limited-edition archival pigment prints from The Divers series, as well as distinct standalone pieces from various years, such as Gratitude and Suspension of Reality III.

It was a joy to see these carefully curated relationships between the pieces come to life during the opening. Thank you to everyone who joined us to explore Hanias work - most of all thank you to @haniafarell for collaborating with us! It was wonderful!

We are very excited to introduce our latest collaboration with the award-winning Lebanese artist, Hania Farrell!

Hania is a visual artist exploring the boundaries of photography as a discipline, extending it into the realm of painting. Her photographs capture transitory and intangible moments, filled with magnetism and narrative power. In her captivating series Mental Hues and The Divers, Hania masterfully explores the delicate intersections of movement, memory, and perception.

Her most recent work Mental Hues begins with a simple form: the line. Photographed from moving trains and cars using long exposure, she captures beautiful fragments of time held in suspension. These luminous, fleeting moments are complete in themselves, yet form entirely new and intriguing relationships when brought together.

Based in London, Hania’s celebrated work has been exhibited at major institutions like the National Portrait Gallery and the Royal College of Art, and resides in prominent private collections worldwide.

This is just a glimpse into her wonderful work. Look out — there is more to come from our collaboration very soon!

Once Upon a Time in My Dream I, II & III by Hania Darwish Farrell invites viewers into a contemplative space where memory, identity, and transformation converge.

Drawing on themes that run throughout Farrell's practice, the works evoke a dreamlike dialogue between the personal and the universal, encouraging moments of reflection and emotional connection.

Born in Lebanon and based in London, Farrell's multidisciplinary work explores the intersections of humanity, nature, culture, and belonging—creating imagery that resonates beyond boundaries and shared experiences.

A moment of weightlessness is captured in Hania Farrell's “Diver 17" (2021) where warm amber and golden tones of sun-kissed skin create a striking contrast against the cool, luminous azure background. The diver's curved posture, with his hands raised and body folded, becomes almost sculptural against the monochromatic blue. This archival pigment print showcases Farrell's signature approach to colour and form. The interplay between the figure's warm ochre glow and the surrounding blue creates a visual tension that is both soothing and dynamic.

Farrell's work has graced prestigious venues from the National Portrait Gallery in London to Beirut Art Week, earning her the ArtGemini Prize and nominations for Prix Pictet. Her explorations of the human form in water continue to captivate collectors worldwide.

10 years ago, 2016, feels like another lifetime.

Like everyone else, I was tempted by this “10 years ago” wave … and then I realized I’d honestly forgotten what my own 2016 looked like. So I asked my iPhone to take me back. And there it was: a quiet archive of what I chose to keep.
Not just random photos, moments I saved because they meant something. Family I adore. Faces of friends I love and treasure. Places that held a season of my life. Small scenes from different corners of the world, stitched together into one year I thought I had misplaced.

Looking at them now, I see a younger version of me, 10 years younger, yes. Probably stronger physically. More impulsive emotionally. More easily swept away by feeling. Today I’m different. Maybe less “sentimental” in the dramatic sense, but more grounded, more aware, more intentional.

What matters isn’t that time passed. It’s that I did something with it. I’m still here, alive, kicking, and, I hope, a better person. I worked on myself. I learned. I evolved. I let go of what needed to go, and I held on to what deserved to stay.
So here are a few fragments ( some are 🙈 ) of 2016, shared 10 years later, not as nostalgia … but as proof of a journey.
