I could care less about Thanksgiving, but I DO care about all of these humans who came to break bread with us and fill our new apartment with a sense of community. Find your people and stick with them. True friendship is just about showing up 🧡

I took a class in our old space today (😭). It was nice to see it being put to good use (😊)…I miss so much about it though, who else has fond memories of this special spot? We’d love to hear them 🙏🏽 @meesh_lazarus 💘

Ten days of solo parenting, two days of rain, one clock change, one really annoying barking dog, one very-much-walking toddler who refuses to wear shoes, one lost bunny, a bunch of supportive friends, one guardian angel neighbour, a handful of play dates, a sprinkling of childcare and countless overpriced lattes (ditto glasses of wine, pizza and whole foods runs). It certainly takes a village (and a shit-load of Tony’s Chocolonely) but we did it! And, shhh don’t tell Chris Nelson but it’s actually been quite fun. And life-affirming. It’s been a reminder that, in the words of Glennon Doyle, “we can do hard things”. It’s once again renewed my respect and admiration for my own mum who solo parented for a hell of a lot longer than ten days. And finally it’s made me feel closer than ever to Maggie, the reason this last ten days has been so fun; who is proving to be a better companion than I ever imagined. ❤️
