I’ve had the pleasure to join @tidaltalescollectivecic & @emilejclarke @priscillaandersohn @hue_artivist & @hannaabrefa for the past few months working, creating building Adventures in Hidden History. A time travelling tale that brings to life some of the stories of some incredible Black pioneers who aren’t represented in mainstream school curriculums.

Last week we began shows and we’ve still got more to come…Bristol!

What a week it’s been in the rehearsal room!

We’ve had so much fun but most importantly we’ve finished crafting a piece of work that’s bursting to be seen!

A couple of ‘Adventures in Hidden History’ shows are sold out but you can come and see us at the amazing @rockaway_park and the fabulous @frontroomwsm

These two champions of community and the arts are worth a visit in their own right but we’d love to be the cherry on top!

Happy International Women's Day! 💜💚

Here are just some of the amazing women I've had the joy and privilege of becoming friends with over the years: in Weymouth, Newcastle, Mexico, Bristol and Gower. The last photo was taken today in Swansea market, where I buy our fruit and veg every week - the wonderful Choice is Yours crew! 🥦

Where would we women be without our female friends, and without the solidarity and inspiration of other women?

So here's to celebrating ALL women, and standing up to the Broligarchy today, and every day.

Thank you to all the men who are our allies in this!

P.S. I couldn't help noticing a certain 'Illustrator of the Year' shortlist yesterday, featuring just one woman and five men (all white). While they are all fantastic illustrators, can this really be representative of all the current talent? Just saying...
