In Ojai, where lavender grows abundantly, it was important to our bride to incorporate it in a meaningful way. We loved weaving it through each detail with a delicate, intentional touch.

French bistro meets Aerin Lauder inspired dinner party in the heart of downtown LA ✨

It was the wedding of our dreams, and I owe the BIGGEST thank you to the ultimate vendor dream team for bringing it all to life. It truly surpassed even my own expectations…which we all know isn’t easy.

Some of my favorite details, in no particular order.

• Dinner menus with street style line drawings of every guest.
• The dessert room — including the most divine made-to-order crêpes.
• The flowers, the flowers, the flowers. My dream pink peonies, in November 🌸
• Gallery walls featuring family photos mixed with hand-collected vintage French artwork.
• The @les.collection dinner plates we loved so much we put on our registry.
• All the small wolf + bee details — wolves for our last name, bees for @bumble (where we met) 🐺🐝
• The handwritten mirrored bar menu — and the most adorable paper bar menus.
• The tiled French bistro dance floor.
• Our candlelit ceremony with a lace chuppah top repurposed from my sister’s wedding tablecloth.
• The picture perfect @thismessytablela display with our favorite foods, bread & cheese.

If only we could have stayed in this space for longer than six hours!!!

With the clocks changing last weekend, we were reminded of how much natural light shapes an event.

It’s actually one of the very first things we talk about with our clients. And sometimes even dictates their wedding season or date. Before we map out the evening, we look at what time the sun sets, and everything falls into place around it.

For this late June wedding in Tuscany, the sun didn’t set until 8:50pm. So we timed the Renaissance-inspired cocktail hour to begin at 7:30pm, letting guests wander the gardens, sip cocktails, play chess and archery, and soak in the last glimpses of daylight before moving into the courtyard for dinner.

Set in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, S&E’s wedding was a celebration of the Renaissance era, surprising guests at each turn with everything from falconry and archery to tarot card readers and fire dancers. Watch for the fun, save for the inspiration 💫
