My submissions to the 2026 @spoilstrophy “People” category. Engaging with and photographing people is probably my favorite avenue in the medium. I say this not only because I love the mystery of genuine engagement with other individuals, but because of the collaborative nature of creating a mood/vibe, connection, and visually energetic environment with another individual. That is the art, the photograph is merely documenting that creation. The creation, you both, or all of you, made collectively. ♥️

We visited the Havasu Falls back in 2016 and it was such a long hike to the confluence, we didn’t do it. I never thought I’d be back by way of the Colorado River!

It’s simple and it’s not

21 days in the grandest canyon, 230 miles covered in river miles. To be in this land of scarcity, grandeur and hostility is something that is hard to put into words.

Daytime dance parties, rising with the sun, loon raids, sand EVERYWHERE and laughter bouncing off the red cliff walls - I’ll never forget.

Shoutout to the best trip lead queen 👸🏻 @colleen__walker

Reverence for water, for the current unsustainable state of the Colorado River, and for those who came before.
