It seems like anytime I'm in a Fairfield Inn & Suites in the state of Kentucky, I find a gigantic bottle share. The first couple nights leading up to @bourbononthebanks this past weekend.

In case you needed more proof that the farm knows how to throw a good pre-party… 😏🥃

Happy Bourbon on the Banks Day! See y’all out there 🐐

🥃 PBG DOES LOUISVILLE 🥃

The PBG has landed at Whiskey Thief in downtown Louisville, bourbon flowing, questionable decisions pending, and hanging with Stacey Griggs of El Toro.

Only problem? Somehow we missed our opportunity to see Hannah Mellilo. A devastating tactical error by the PBG. 😂

Louisville, bourbon, and the PBG. What could possibly go wrong?

Part 2: The Makers. 🥃

One of the best parts of KBF for me is getting beyond the bottle and spending time with the people behind the bourbon.

These are just a few of the makers I had the opportunity to connect with during Kentucky Bourbon Festival — the distillers, blenders, founders, ambassadors and industry folks helping shape what ends up in our glass.

Because for me, bourbon has always been about more than what’s in the bottle. It’s about the people, the stories, and the hands behind it.

The countdown to @bourbononthebanks is on! If you attend the festival, be sure to pick up a bottle Pursuit Spirit’s official Bourbon on the Banks single barrel selection. I was privileged to help select it, and I can say it was an afternoon well-spent sampling excellent bourbon with some knowledgeable bourbon drinkers.

Pretty cool family adventure yesterday, as Gabe and I were joined by my brother, David and his wife, Eryn, as well as my nephew, Coy. (Jackson couldn’t make it.) We sampled and tasted from six different barrels to select for a very special AFF bottle of KY’s finest to be released at this year’s #M3forVets gala. Special thanks to Hannah and everyone @whiskeythiefdistilling for making this possible.

Whiskey Thief does not miss on their rye. This was no different. A full flavored banger of a hazmat that is easy to drink. Get some whiskey thief and support the craft. #angryirishmac #bourbon #whiskey #bourbonreviews #kentuckybourbonfestival
