I finished a small pet ornament for a dear friend @hanniegyn along with four floral hand-printed coasters, and as spring approaches, I felt called to paint flowers—to capture a quiet, fragile hope
“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin… yet even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” — Matthew 6:28–29

I wanted each petal to feel soft and delicate, like a whisper of peace, because flowers don’t strive for their beauty—they simply are, held gently in God’s care.

“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.” — Psalm 91:4

In the same way, we are like flowers in God’s garden, created with love, not to carry the weight of the world by ourselves, but to rest in His presence.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works.” — Ephesians 2:10

Flowers do not adorn themselves, yet they are beautiful because God Himself clothes them with quiet glory—and so He does with us, shaping us in humility and grace.

“Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.” — 1 Peter 3:4

Even in silent moments, even in hidden seasons, Christ meets us with a tender comfort that doesn’t rush, but restores.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

As we allow God to fulfill His purpose in our lives, we begin to radiate His love—not loudly, but with a steady, quiet authority rooted in Him.

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” — Psalm 37:4

So let us hold onto Him with humility, remembering we were created to worship and reflect His glory—the gentle beauty He has placed within us since the beginning of time.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

Like flowers surviving through wind and rain, we remain—soft, fragile, yet sustained by a hope that does not fade.
