Oop- surprise (&happy new year)! Warning ⚠️ long post ahead.. Over the last few months I have been tossing around the idea of rebranding for the new year to better encompass me as a creator & incorporating more of my digital art as part of my brand so here we are! Over the next week or so I’ll be working on switching over my links & all socials to the new name so bear with me! A little background: if you don’t know me or are new here, hi! I’m Rachel, Chinese Canadian hobby collector that turned a hyperfixation into well, this! I’m first and foremost a cat mom (of 3), nurse by trade & chronically online 🥴 I started this brand out to showcase my crochet journey, which I started to help my ADHD, and eventually started vending at markets to adopt out my excess amount of plushies. The name Lasy Frog Co. was a random spur of the moment, ChatGTP assisted (ikik) idea that kind of stuck, but I wanted to make my name more personal to me and where I want this brand to go! This new name, Happī Cat Studīo, comes from my Chinese nickname, my love for anime/japanese culture, and my cat lady-ness! My Chinese nickname is 乐乐 - 乐 (樂) lè: happy, glad; enjoyable; music; happy; cheerful; to laugh- & when I popped that into google translate to Japanese, the direct translation was “happī” & voila a new name enters the chat 🥳 Along with this rebrand I will be starting a dedicated art page where I will post my WIPs, finished work and (hopefully) be able to start making some stickers, prints, etc! If you’re interested pls give @happicat.art a follow 🥹 If you made it this far I just want to say a huge THANK YOU for supporting me thus far and (hopefully) continuing to support me on this new venture!! I am so so thankful for Lazy Frog Co. for bringing me into the crochet community where I’ve met many wonderful and talented people, some who I can confidently call my good friends & I really hope to make more amazing connections as Happī Cat! I’ll finally stop yapping & I hope you forgive me with the addition of pics of my cat sons 😔🙏🏼 LOVE YOU ALL & THANK YOU AGAIN 🫶🏼
