🇬🇧 British Humour Bamboo Socks

🧦 SOCK CHECK! 👣

Not all socks are created equal! Here are 3 things I look for as a podiatrist when choosing socks for everyday foot comfort:

🌿 FABRIC: Bamboo-derived fabric can feel lovely and soft against the skin and help manage moisture.

🦶 SEAMLESS TOES: Bulky seams can cause friction and pressure, particularly if you have sensitive feet, corns or toe deformities.

👌 COMFORTABLE CUFFS: Socks should stay up without digging into your ankles!

Remember it’s not just choosing socks in your favourite colour, (although that is important for your happiness!), it’s how they feel on your feet too!

Save this for your next sock shop! ✨

Five things worth spending money on if you want stronger, pain-free feet 👣

The right shoes, good socks (we love @happybitssocks btw) and a little strength work can prevent many common foot problems.

And if pain keeps returning, it’s worth finding out why rather than repeatedly treating the symptoms.

Save this for later or book an appointment with Active Life Podiatry for expert advice tailored to you.

When it comes to foot skincare, consistency is everything.

Not the latest trend.
Not the most expensive product.

🧦Sometimes something as simple as a clean, comfortable pair of socks can make a huge difference.

A massive thank you to @happybitssocks for kindly donating additional pairs for us to take to The Foxton Centre today, where our team will once again be providing podiatry care for people experiencing homelessness.

After we’ve treated someone’s feet and hopefully made them feel a little more comfortable, being able to give them a fresh, good-quality pair of socks to put on afterwards is the perfect finishing touch.

And Happy Bit Socks aren’t just fabulous to look at! Their bamboo fabric is beautifully soft and breathable, they’re designed with seamless toes to reduce rubbing and their reinforced heels and toes help make them durable, all things that really matter when it comes to looking after feet.

For someone who may spend long periods walking, have limited access to fresh socks or struggle with their foot health, that comfort really can mean a lot.

Thank you, Happy Bit Socks, for supporting what we’re doing and helping us provide that little bit of extra comfort today.

Summer feet sorted and you don’t even need to go far.

We all want our feet looking and feeling their best in summer. But between the sandals, the heat and the extra miles we put on them, they need a little more love this time of year.

Here are our top tips for keeping your feet happy all summer long:

Moisturise daily. Your feet lose moisture faster in the heat and dry skin leads to cracking, especially on the heels. Make it a habit, ideally after a shower while your skin is still warm.

Choose your footwear wisely. Flip flops are great in moderation but your feet need support too. Ask us about @archiesfootwear Archies- they’re not your average summer sandal.

Don’t ignore the small stuff. A blister, a patch of hard skin, a nail that doesn’t look right, summer is the worst time to leave things untreated.

The good news? We’ve got you covered in clinic too.

We stock a range of professional foot care products including @ccs_footcareuk , @gehwolfootcare Intensive Cream and @restoratefootcream moisturising spray, all tried, tested and recommended by our team. And if there’s something specific you’re looking for, we can order it in for you too.

Everything your feet need, all in one place.

Book your appointment or pop in to see us. You can also browse and book online at www.burtonchiropody.co.uk
