Inspired by the prompt - Predator | Lilac - hosted by @wolvesandwildflowerspoetry , @wild_ink_and_sunflowers

.

Her love for him
blossomed delicately,
mesmerizing it was,
like lilac blooming
after long winter

But a prey she became
to that cruel predator-
unrequited love it was,
not mauled by fangs
or claws, yet hurt deep

By silence she was
preyed upon... the lilac
withered, yet the fragrance
lingered - it was learning
the language of love

Submission for ALT WEEKLY PHOTO prompt - hosted by @altpoetryprompts , #altpoetryprompts
.

Like a mighty oak
she stood, weathering
seasons of change...rain
caressing, spring adorning
summer whispering, she
let melody of winds
soothe her loneliness, until

axe of words fell upon her
cracking to the core, it did
disheveled, disappointed,
into fragments was broken,
her confidence, self-esteem, yet

roots of resilience remained strong
every cut, every wound, did make her
falter first, but from beneath the darkness
her own voice whispered, to rise
to bloom, to become green again..,
sunlight of hope nurturing, once again
she bloomed... flourished ... akin oak, again....

Micros inspired by the prompt - LEAVING - hosted by @poets_island , #poetsisland
.
Leaving your
memories along
shores of time,
hoping, waves
of tears never
wash them away
....

Gloaming leaving
melancholic melody,
From every note, oozes
poetic sigh ... stars
orchestrate symphony
of night
....

Leaving for her
conjugal hearth,
decades later,
a guest she
became in her
own cradle

Hostage to
winds of time
flowing like
a river, are my

fragments of dreams
drifting westwards
to be drenched in

Horizon slumbers.
Lunar blues gently linger.
Time seemingly still.
Waves' ache mingling with silence.
Night awaits dawn patiently.

💖Winning entry💖 for the Finish the poem prompt - The silence between poems - hosted by @altpoetryprompts , #altpoetryprompts
.

The silence between poems -
'tis where my rustic emotions reside,
Tethered by stagnant thoughts,
invoking they are, unrefined verses

Syllables scattered in voracious void
and muted metaphors lost in time
Rhythm of quietude echoing like
fading tick- tock, tick- tock

Quill and papyrus in dilemma
awaiting they are, to satiate hunger
Somehow I feel a tranquil in the
ocean tides rising within me

A solace veiled beneath this silence
cleansing my thoughts it is whilst
Unwritten words stand guard to
my unsaid musings and reveries

But borrowing I am refrain and rhymes
from the language of longing
Will it be a synecdoche amongst
the wilderness of my ponderings

Only time will tell ... for now, I am
smearing notes of silent symphony upon skies
And with the poetic sighs of falling leaves
I am filling the silence between poems

Light lingers longer
One moment - seems
to be stagnant forever
Shadows bask in
solstice warmth,
Soft melody rising
from soul
....
Solstice wishes~
golden threads
woven into fabric
of beaming rays,
New beginnings~
blessings from skies,
Believe in miracles-
they happen ...

Solstice holds
Sun for us,
Silence speaks
in language of
verses ... shadows
holding onto
thoughts of
tomorrow, escape
the stillness

Inspired by June prompts - hosted by @poeticreveries_
.
Prompts used - Somewhere I used to belong , A map of old wounds , The moon on the water , Where wild things wander, Beneath a sky of molten gold, On the other side of longing
.

Standing on the edge of
somewhere I used to belong,
tracing I am, a map of old
wounds - the wounds residing
in echoes of silence and solitude

Breathing pain, stippling I am,
the memories that whisper from
cracks of withering walls, the
walls that have not forgotten
my name, though I have lost
myself with passage of time

An unknown euphoria
embracing me whilst
remnants of nostalgia
linger like fragrance
of summer rain, but

Letting now I am,
those memories to
float along with the
moon on the water,
and wounds to be buried
where wild things wander

And beneath a sky of
molten gold, listening
to song of tranquil, I will
await new dawn on the
other side of longing ...

Inspired by June prompt - The sound of healing- hosted by @wordsbyjabbrin
.

The sound of healing-
never have I heard it
cause, 'tis neither too
loud nor too silent,
Maybe the rhythm
is beyond this realm, and
tone of it - empyrean

Maybe, hiding
in cracks where
wildflowers bloom,
is the pitch of
recuperation
Mayhap melodious
it is, than the song
of a nightingale

Perhaps the sound
is soft as petals
falling or loud as
deafening silence,
or gentle as susurration
of waves and rustling
of leaves

But a known secret
it is, that notes of
healing will be in
essence of crimson wounds
Smeared they will be on
forgotten scars... so just
listen closely... between
your heartbeats

In the sound of healing
will be resounding -

"with all those wounds
and scars, you have come
this far ... epitome of
courage you are... be
proud of yourself ...
blooming you're as meant
to be ... a better version of
yourself, you're becoming..."

Inspired by the prompt - It's just the rain- hosted by @loco.fy8.4.da.ry8 , @virahela.
.

Symphony commencing
in melancholic grey skies
Lightning etching masterpiece
from the vastness to earth

Petrichor wafting from
the pale, parched ground
Quenching her thirst, are
the pouring pearly drops

For everyone, it's just the rain, but
for me, it is a treat for eyes and soul
In the rain- bearing clouds, all I see
is your mesmerizing, heavenly hues

Thunder does not frighten me, cause
sand grains and leaves whisper your name
Like my heartbeats that sing a melody
of your allure and charming aura

Lightning scares me not anymore, cause
I see your smile in the empyrean beams
In the puddles, not my reflection I see, but
yours, enticingly playing the flute

Pebbles no longer hurt my feet, cause
your thoughts make them soft as peacock
feathers adorning your curls ... in this rain
all I see is nothing but you... and

Awaiting you I am, till eternity
surrenders to gentle waves of time
