Took me more than a year to finish this roll of film. I realised I care more about being in the moment than capturing it now that I’m getting older.

250202 - Portraits of Zoo Negara

Yesterday, I went to Zoo Negara for the first time in almost 20 years. The whole time I was there, I kept thinking about the last time I visited the place.

I was 10 years old chilling at home after school watching TV on a Tuesday. My dad came home from work early and randomly asked me, "Nak pergi Zoo tak?". Of course I said "Nak!" and we spent the whole day at the Zoo just the two of us. Definitely a cool core memory that I'll cherish always.

Hopefully, some core memories were made here for my niece and nephew who were celebrating their dad's birthday yesterday.

Also, for a place I have such a fond memory of, I forgot how big the place is. 15k steps wehh!
