Never seen so many people at the Drag March. I kept looking back trying to see the end of the march but I never could.

Jesus Loves Drag came to a close this past Sunday evening with a beautiful artist talk by Gustavo Lopes (@thisiseverythang) 🥀 We were fortunate to have Drag March founder Brian P. Griffin (@harbrian9), aka Harmony Moore, return and serenade us with a special performance of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Thank you to everyone who came out to the closing reception!

We also want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who made this show possible — from the Drag March founders and organizers to our neighbors and friends who visited the exhibition, purchased books, and collected artworks.

We can’t wait to welcome you back for our next opening in September :-)

Thank you so much to all who joined us for the opening reception of Jesus Loves Drag by Gustavo Lopes (@thisiseverythang) ! ❤️‍🔥

We want to express our collective gratitude for your support and enthusiasm on a very special night, surrounded by the founders, organizers, and longtime participants of NYC’s Drag March. This show is in their honor!

Jesus Loves Drag is on view at Westlab + Gallery through Sunday, August 3rd, with an artist talk and closing reception from 6pm to 9pm on 8/3. Books and photographs are available for sale — come and take one home before they’re all gone :-)

As a reminder, we are closed this week for a mid-year recess! We look forward to welcoming you back to view the exhibition and for film drop-offs on Wednesday, June 11, when we resume our regular business hours (Wed-Sat, 11am-6pm).

It was a memorable Hudson Valley Dance Festival this year - starting with the northern lights on Thursday, followed by a fantastic performance with a record-breaking fundraising amount on Sunday, and ending with a spectacular rainbow against the Rip Van Winkle Bridge on Monday. Great Job @dradance!!

What a brilliant surprise to find !
Thank you once again @longislandherald for your contributions to our success. Providing access to dance at the highest levels is such an important part of our industry. With music and food so readily available and accessible as our cultural identity, far too many have forgotten that dance is woven so strongly into our cultures as well. We can find so easily what food, art, music and even sport we like simply by pressing a button or walking next door. Dance is far too underrated and appreciated for the simple reason that most do not have access to it or don’t know what is out there.
The Gold Coast Dance Festival is for everyone, sharing a wide variety of dance styles and traditions at the highest levels, making dance widely accessible, relatable and inspiring for all to attend. It’s been my honor to build this beautiful event year after year as @movingon.dance and look forward to its growth in reaching more audiences across our region.
Thank you @newyorkdancetheatre for collaborating and presenting our brilliant artists this year!

Hundreds Of Drag Queens and Kings filled the streets for the 30th annual New York City Drag March.

The New York City Drag March, or NYC Drag March, is an annual drag protest and visibility march taking place in June 28, 2024 during the traditional LGBTQ pride month in New York City.

Organized to coincide ahead of the NYC Pride March, both demonstrations commemorate the 1969 riots at the Stonewall Inn, widely considered the pivotal event sparking the gay liberation movement, and the modern fight for LGBT rights.

The Drag March takes place on Friday night as a kick-off to NYC Pride weekend. The event starts in Tompkins Square Park and ends in front of the Stonewall Inn; it is purposefully non-corporate, punk, inclusive, and largely leaderless.
