I just did an interview talking about how I discovered Hardstyle and how I’ve been building the harder styles scene in my home country Taiwan 🇹🇼

Building Hardstyle Taiwan and bringing the sound of Formosa to the world. Pie Star’s story reaches far beyond his own production.

Thanks Hardwave Alerts @dewstatehard for interviewing me 🙏

This summer besides festivals. I took more breaks and traveled around Europe on a big road trip. It was intense but super enjoyable, and that was different from just partying.
Already looking forward to next summer from now 🥹

4 years ago today, a hardstyle track was officially released under the names Chestbrah, BAKI and Zyzz.

Aziz Shavershian had been gone for more than 11 years.

But the Zyzz identity never disappeared.

His old footage continued spreading through gym edits, aesthetics culture and hardstyle. By September 11, 2022, that connection had reached officially distributed music with Let Me Down Slowly (feat. BAKI) [Hardstyle].

Then in 2024, The New Generation placed the Zyzz and Chestbrah names alongside the Tren Twins and Lexx Little, connecting the original aesthetics era with another generation of internet fitness.

Aziz belonged to one era.

The legacy didn’t.

The original audio isn’t available on Instagram, so I’m using the @sicklegendvevo remix of the same song for this post.

My first international début as DJ in Taiwan was unforgettable memory in my life!!!

To be honest, I was absolutely brimming with nerves before I started playing, I was absolutely filled with anxiety—wondering whether I was worthy of this stage, and whether the audience would be happy to see me perform after such a great artist.

But you were all a truly amazing audience! It was beyond my expectations – the atmosphere was absolutely electric, and my nerves vanished straight away, allowing me to enjoy the performance 100%!!!

My very first DJ gig abroad was in Taiwan, and it was absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much Taiwan!!! You're one of the best audience in my career!!!I hope to see you again soon🫶
