This is what we live for 📸

Nothing like an October evening at the grocery store & coming home with a big ole freezer queen. Man this never gets old!

I don’t just hunt it. I butcher it, cook it, preserve it, tan it, and turn what’s left into something useful.

From the meat to the hide, bones and antlers, there’s a purpose for every part.

‘Round here, I don’t waste what the wild provides.

Deer edition. The Wilder Way.

Absolutely none of this is needed to get a deer with a bow, but I’ll pack it all to the woods with me anyways 😂 I’m going to attempt filming some hunts this fall just for 💩 and 😁 but I don’t have very high expectations. It’s been a long 10 months since I’ve hit the woods with my bow and my climber. I am absolutely stoked to chase some whitetails!!

1st Sit of the 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣-07 Bow Season!
🧡 🦌

Is It Hot? Yes
Am I Dumb For Being Out? Also Prolly Yes

But this was my first opportunity to get out to the woods. I had shoulder surgery back in April and it has really been a mood killer for this season as I am unable to shoot my vertical bow with still being on lifting restrictions. Thank goodness my husband has a crossbow that I am able to get out and use. (I know, I am very anti-crossbow) but it's either this or sit out a whole season. And TBH if I had to do that I'd get locked up in a white padded room. 🤷🏼‍♀️

So here I am, on a warm sunny 80° day in October, wearing goofy orange cuz it's also the youth hunt, enjoying the peace and quiet of nature.....But at least its breezy! 🍂
