@hareandneedleuk This one has been a long time coming for me, but got it down finally. Just ready for some shading. Why is this one special. Well because it’s the most beautiful woman ever. And not only that, soon to be the most beautiful wife ever!

When I decided to make a costume from scratch out of recycling/rubbish - I forgot that I didn’t know a single thing about costuming. Thank goodness for @hareandneedle who is always there for questions like “how do I sew binbags together without tearing them” and “how do I fix this disaster?” I’m always looking to level up my looks but I’m also having fun expressing myself in a climate-conscious way, with materials that are affordable for a freelancer without harming the planet. 📸 by @jdwmk Image Description: Carmen, a white performer with dark hair, is on stage and beaming, showing every tooth in their head. A projector covers everything in golden and pinkish light. Carmen is wearing a sunburst crown with flowers made of shiny crisp packets and a binbag cape with long tassels like a jellyfish. The cape is decorated with bottle tops, sweet wrappers and ring pulls from drinks cans. They look like a very happy and shiny trash jellyfish. #ClimateChange #Planet #ClimateConscious #CarbonEmissions #PerformanceArt #Drag #burlesque #LondonBurlesque #Homemade #DIY #costume #NonBinary #QueerArt #QueerPerformance

How beautiful are these handmade emerald trousers from @hareandneedleuk The incredible Rachel crafted these with care, precision, and love and I feel like a 1970s dreamboat ❤️💕 One thing I think a lot of us have taken from lockdown is a renewed appreciation of comfortable clothing. For me, I find I don't have nearly enough items that are both smart and comfortable, but these are just perfect. Soft, roomy, and fashionable. 👠🕶️ It's a known fact that women have been hit hard by this pandemic. Small businesses have been hit hard. The Arts have been hit hard. If you're looking for a wardrobe update for the return of society, this a great company to support at this time. Rachel is a gem to work with. She's sensitive about how delicate sharing measurements can feel, but her incredible attention to detail shows in her work. I'm flippin delighted, and would love if you could give her page a follow. Slow fashion is the way to go. Women run businesses need your support. The Arts deserve your love. 💕 #supportwomeninbusiness #slowfashion #tailoredclothing #madetomeasure #comfyclothing #happynewclothes #supportthearts #supportwomeninarts #seventiesfashion #vintage #vintagestyle #slowfashionsavestheplanet #outfitoftheday #ootd
