Sometimes I feel crazy and alone until I’m around these two!

There are maybe seven people in the entire world that I can just BE me with and they don’t get offended or insecure. I realize authentic living is not popular, especially not in the times we’re living in and definitely not on Instagram. Everything is a filter; no judgments but if that’s how we’re playing it… put me on the bench!

At this point in my life, especially after my Aunt’s death, I’m so bored with filtering myself or making myself smaller so that you can feel more big enough to exist around me. This is not my cross to bear, if my existence makes you uncomfortable, it’s on you. Honestly, I think I still had a “people pleasing” Spirit left on me from my 20s. Life’s too short to play it small or merely exist. If I die today, I will not grieve the unsaid words, the unused talents, the risk not taken. I am here to thrive and to share me with you - unfiltered. You receiving me in a small size is disrespectful to God and the ultimate rip off of what He intended.

I’m so grateful that I have these two AMAZING PHENOMENAL HONEST THRIVING CONFIDENT GODSTRAMENTS OF WOMEN to call sisters. With you @daniellemonetruitt @mrsdaniellewright , I never feel like my size is too much for you! If anything WE just get bigger and bigger and We encourage that shit! I have no interest in settling for relationships that require me to tone myself down for their personal comfort.

Take my absence in your life as you will.

That’s all you need to know. TopDog UnderDog is the best play in New York. @yahya and @coreyhawkins played with my heartstrings on so many levels as Lincoln and Booth, I’m still in awe. I guess this is more than one word Lol.. Needless to say I’m just insanely proud of the two of you and I can’t wait to see what God does through you next!

I cannot believe I forgot about this picture. Life is constantly moving so fast that I forgot about such a monumental moment.

God has been slowing me down to speed me up, but In the slow, I’m able to retain wisdom. No longer rushing to NEXT, no pressure of FOMO but truly being present in now. Allowing my life and Shilohs to be built on a foundation that will outlast us both.

This is getting sent out and printed and hung today! How has it been like 5 years and you still manage to make me smile Ruben!!! I love you! Thank you!!!

The only person I ever compare myself to, is who I was yesterday.

The dangerous thing about social media is we can easily and subtly fall into comparing ourselves amongst ourselves. What is for you is for you, no one can take that. What is not for you can never be yours no matter how hard you try. When we compare ourselves amongst ourselves, its like trying to change your face to match a reflection of yourself in a broken mirror.

More importantly, it diminishes the gifts and purpose God has preordained for you before you were even formed in your mothers womb.

True purpose comes from Him, not Instagram. Your valuable in God’s eyes, He loves you more than you can even imagine. When you understand how much HE LOVES YOU, it’ll enable you to walk confidently into your purpose.

Something like a straight shooter

I’ve found that what I’ve focused on, I’ve become. I’ve also realized that no matter how strong I thought I was, I’ve unconsciously been impacted by my environment. What I’ve learned is, the 5 closest people to you will either make or break your dreams. Look around you, check your call log.. are those people nourishing and inspiring you? Or are they keeping you stuck in the same environment you got sick in?

Everybody cannot have access to the light God has entrusted you with! Guard your light with your life. STAY FOCUS

Think about what you think about, watch your mouth and be cognizant of what you allow yourself to focus on. Where your focus goes, will ultimately determine your reality!

When they asked what I wanted to be growing up, I always said YOU.

Thank you for loving me when I’ve been ungrateful, disrespectful and just plain out horrid. You’ve been such a light and such a representation of HOW BIG and VAST GODS love is for me. You’ve held me everyday of my life. You showed me how to fall in love with myself as I am. The things that you have taught me are gems for a lifetime. I would be nothing without you. You’ve been a rock for me, for my sisters, the the stray friends we always brought home and our entire family.
