ARTIST HIGHLIGHT: HARLEY FERRIS
Returning back to Hardwire after his debut performance In May last year, we are excited to announce that Harley Ferris will be joining us for our next installation at Hardwire. Harley has been working on refining and mastering his sound over the past couple of years releasing a number of tracks that have been featured on labels such as @commatraxxlabel & @goddezz__

He also released a full 100% ID set through @lefblom & @egrego.re at the start of last year. His sets and sound progresses through different areas of proggy tech moving from minimal & ethereal picks to deep rollers with hints of acid throughout. We are most certainly in for a treat with Harleys set tomorrow night.

Make sure you get there early to experience his signature sound to kick off the night

We are excited to announce our July instalment of Hardwire with local Eora legend Andy Garvey supported by Harley Ferris and Narainee. Andy Garvey is an established DJ and producer that is among some of the greats to come out of the Eora scene. Through her continuous involvement in the local and international scene with her label Pure Space, she has been a pioneer in underground dance and we can’t wait to see what she brings to Hardwire. Harley Ferris will be delivering his eclectic taste and masterful skills on the decks opening up the night and getting the dancefloor warmed up. We encourage you to check out his most recent mix with Uppercrust where he created a journey through subtle build ups with relentless drums and grooves. Narainee will be joining us to close out the night off the back of an almighty run recently having performed at the Gennyada x Autogenesis warehouse party and a string of radio shows. We can’t wait to see what she closes out the night with.

UC021 // ‘Less is more’ is the mantra for Sydney-based producer, @harleyyferris where precision propels both his productions & selections to great effect. All of this is on display in the following mix which manages to feel rich for its hour long run time.

As always we’ve published a accompanying interview with Harley where he offers some perspective on getting unstuck in the production process, a few good stories from memorable times on the dance floor and announces an upcoming self released EP.

“When I was at Outsider and some of the other sets I’ve been seeing recently, I realised how much I love sets where there’s one track every now and then with a big build up and you feel like you’ve earned it and the rest is just relentless drums and groove the whole time. So that’s what I tried to do here.”
