I found this INCREDIBLE 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 resource from the National Weather Service called 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝟭𝟬𝟭, and if you or your kids are interested in weather, storms, radar or science, this is seriously worth checking out.

And these aren't just basic “clouds make rain” lessons. 😂

They have classes covering 𝗦𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗦, 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗢𝗢𝗡𝗦, 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗡𝗦, 𝗦𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗦, 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚, 𝗙𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚, 𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗥, winter weather and MORE.

The Fall 2026 classes start 𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟱, with different classes running through November.

After the weather El Paso just survived, I feel like half of us already completed the Weather101 field lab. 😭🌧️

This would be especially cool for 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗙𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗦, teachers, science-loving kids or adults who just want to understand our crazy weather a little better.

His first school acceptance, making the top 3% of the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program, getting accepted for a job that actually pays more than the average teen job😄👑, earning two more coding certifications, and continuing his coding internship!

Needless to say, this mama is SUPER proud😍🥹💙 I can’t wait to see where life takes him and all the amazing things ahead.

He is truly the calm in the storm; so unassuming, grounded, kind, and loving. He never feels the need to be the loudest in the room, but somehow, he keeps quietly accomplishing so much⭐️

So proud of the young man he is becoming💙✨

My grandkids school had their Grandparents Day celebration yesterday (Thursday).

On Wednesday, the mother of my grandkids texted me the flyer letting me know about the event.

Totally last-minute.

I could have very easily replied back saying that I couldn't make it and made a comment about the last-minute notification and she would've probably apologized and agreed.

But the Holy Spirit moved within me and urged me to NOT respond immediately and to sincerely make an effort to go.

Thursday morning, after getting to work and figuring out what I had to do, I decided that, YES, I would be able to leave work a little early in order to attend. 😀

It wasn't a "big deal",

It wasn't a "big event",

But my prayer is that yesterday becomes a moment ingrained in their mind & in their heart 🥰

I L-O-V-E my grandbabies!

And even though I do not see them as often as I would like, my love for them will ALWAYS be there!

👀📹 EL PASO PARENTS... these two stories together are exactly why we need to talk to our kids about cameras.

A local parent posted on Nextdoor alleging that girls in her daughter's middle school athletics class were recording videos in the locker room while other students were changing in the background, and some videos allegedly ended up on TikTok.

I have NO idea which school this happened at, and I haven't found confirmation from a school or district, so I'm not going to guess.

But the bigger conversation is important.

Kids have phones, watches and now GLASSES with cameras. 👓

And I actually own Meta glasses.

When I'm covering El Paso events, I'm usually juggling multiple phones because I'm livestreaming on different platforms at the same time. 😂 The glasses let me grab photos and video hands-free.

But I WANT that little recording light blinking. 💡

I want someone to look at me and immediately know:

"Oh. She's recording."

Because then they have a choice to move away.

Meta just disabled the cameras on thousands of its AI glasses after detecting that some users had covered, damaged or otherwise tampered with the recording light. Meta told Business Insider the affected glasses represented less than 0.1% of Meta AI glasses sold.

And GOOD. 😂

Because secretly defeating the recording indicator hurts everyone who has a legitimate reason to use these things.

It also makes that alleged locker-room situation an important reminder for parents:

📵 Locker rooms = NO recording.
📵 Don't film people changing.
📵 Look at what's behind you BEFORE posting.
📵 Don't assume your friends are okay being recorded.
📵 Once something is online, you may not be able to get it back.

Honestly, this might be one of those conversations we need to have with our kids BEFORE handing them any device with a camera.

And adults aren't exempt either. 😂

🚀 EL PASO HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS: This is a REALLY cool opportunity!

Applications are open for NASA’s Texas Aerospace Scholars (TAS) 2026-2027 program, a FREE STEM experience for Texas juniors. 🧑‍🚀

This one is personal for me. I lived in Southern California near NASA’s JPL, and I also lived in Houston, home of Johnson Space Center. I have friends who work at JPL and NASA too, so I’ve seen how these STEM opportunities can turn into actual careers. 🚀

Yesterday, one of my friends watched the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope launch with her family after her husband spent TEN YEARS working on it. 😭 Their kids literally watched something their dad helped build leave Earth.

Roman even has shape-shifting mirror technology that could help scientists image Jupiter-like planets around other stars. 🪐🤯

THAT is what a STEM career can look like.

And El Paso isn't that far removed from the space world either. Blue Origin has its West Texas launch facility near Van Horn. 🌵🚀

TAS includes coding, engineering, design, space exploration and learning from NASA experts. Top-performing teams may even be invited to Johnson Space Center in Houston!

And it’s NOT just traditional public school students:
