It’s hard to put words to what we’ve been carrying, but one thing has been undeniable. The love. Every prayer, every message, every phone call, and every embrace has been a reminder that even in life’s darkest moments, light has a way of finding us through people.

The gifts we use to help others are often the very gifts we’ll need when life tests us. Maybe that’s how purpose works. It prepares us long before we realize why. After spending so much time helping others find color in their darkest moments, I’m learning what it means to find it in my own.

We’ve now brought our father home from Haiti. As we prepare to honor his life, we’re doing our best to carry forward the love, faith, and strength he poured into us.

So many of you have asked how you can help. If you feel led, we’ve created a GoFundMe to help us navigate the journey ahead. The link is in our bio. Whether you give, share it, or simply continue praying for our family, you’re helping our family carry this weight with a little more grace.

🩵It’s the 11th which means it’s another month without Zay .. 17 months exactly.. another Mother’s Day without my heart being complete.. Mother’s Day is hard.. it’s a big weight sitting on your chest because that day is a day of reminder.. the reminder that your baby is gone.. and how He should be here..
I’m thankful for all my babies! Yesterday I was truly thankful for seeing and hearing from all my babies / my bonus babies and my adopted babies and all the ones in between! I’m thankful.. I am blessed for them.. 🫶🏼
I just miss Zay😔… I know he would have been “Maaa I picked out the best flowers for you, I love you everyday though not just today!” and instead I’m visiting him at his resting place.. I went through all the emotions this weekend! It hits hard!

🩵Yesterday I got a message from Lovely Taylor she had something for me.. and oh how I’m so in love with this… it’s so memorizing… this picture is done by Harold Caudio.. he did such an amazing job and I’m so so thankful… it’s gorgeous, I could stare at it all day! A year ago today I lost my wife and best friend… literally a woman who poured into me so much i really felt like i could do anything. My three sons lost their comfort, their nurture and their mother. It’s crazy how someone’s impact can be louder than the absence. Phylicia is all in these boys and i appreciate her for leaving a piece of her within them to help me get through i didn’t think id make it but “ im here” with my boys. This the song she use to sing to the boys when they were babies rocking them to sleep 😴.. we love and miss you @phyrose 😘

Opening night of Kinetic Energy was tremendous!!!

My favorite opening so far. You never know who you’ll meet, and last night I was uplifted and inspired by every single artist in that room. What an incredible night.
I’m still beaming.

A special thank you to curator @jransom44 for the vision it takes to bring artists together like this. Fabulous job. This kind of work doesn’t happen without someone who sees the whole picture and holds space for all of it.

Thank you to everyone who showed up to support the work we create. As artists, we offer different perspectives. We invite the world to feel something deep.

Thaat’s the gift, and I felt it fully.
More to come. The exhibition runs through June 12th at the @palmbeachculture. Come see us.

• McDonald’s Art Basel Week at Uncs Arte Haus was more than just another event for me. It was my best experience yet as THEE House Photographer. Being in rooms with people who have shaped culture reminded me why I picked up a camera in the first place.

From buying Deon Cole comedy tickets, to being inspired by the work of Coodie and Lenny S, to growing up on Young Jeezy, the FAMU and KCP band pipeline (iykyk), and then sharing space with Hassan Johnson from a TV show I grew up on, all while having my Chicago family there watching my growth from my Leaders Intern days to now, every moment hit even deeper.

Everything that helped shape who I am as a person and creative was in that room, and that was a sign I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. I’m grateful for everyone who spoke my name in rooms and put that faith in me. Thank you for showing me where I belong and how far I can take it. Let’s keep elevating in 2026. •
