Harper Grace🦋, I honestly can’t believe you are 21 today. You are the most precious gift and watching you grow up has been pure joy! I hope you realize how beautiful you are. My love for you will always be far greater than words could ever say. I love you! Happy birthday sweetheart!!

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for God’s protection over our son. One week ago, while I was working out of town, Harrison called and said, “Mom, I’m okay, but I’ve been in a very bad accident.”

A truck crashed directly into the driver’s side of his car, and Harrison was showing signs of a serious concussion—repeating himself and not knowing his age or even what month it was. Being so far away and unable to get to him was a helpless feeling I’ll never forget.

Thankfully, our prayers were answered. His CT scan showed no brain bleed or broken bones, and looking at his car, it’s hard to believe he walked away.

This past week, he’s been in the care of an incredible concussion team and physical therapist. Today, he turns 18, and he’s doing so well that he was cleared to travel with us to Charlotte to see his favorite band, The Strokes.

Harrison, I love you more than you’ll ever know. God gave me you, and I’ll never stop being grateful for every moment we have together. Happy 18th birthday, sweetheart♥️
